OK, so there was a topic before about losing weight but I'm kinda at the other extreme. (Hope no one minds me rabbiting on about this)

I thought I was losing heaps of weight because of breastfeeding but I have stopped now and am still looking gaunt. It's so horrible, I'm looking worse than the most obese of women.

So anyway, today I decided that the "I can see your ribs" look is not in.

I always thought I was a healthy eater. I love food! I've just realised what my problem is though, too many cups of tea and eating Hannah's left overs. This keeps away the hunger but doesn't give me anything to provide energy.

My new plan is to make a huge effort to eat 3 meals a day. Remembering to eat when you are running round after a kidlet isn't on the top of the priorities, but I am going to make it the top!

So yeah, am I the only one forgetting to eat???
I've never tried to lose weight in my life. I feel like I'm cheating myself

i think a lot of mums forget to eat Nikki. Either that or when you are hungry you are busy doing something with bub. Are you having a good breakfast? Supposed to be the most important meal of the day! Good luck!

I forget to eat all the time. It was worse when Jake was little as I'd think, well, I'll wait til he's asleep so I can relax, then he wouldn't sleep for ages. I just ate crumpets for breakfast and I can thoroughly recommend them!!!
Anyway, if you're feeling house-wfey, you could always make up some prepared lunches or something. Or even make Hannah's meals similar to yours so you can cook just one meal. Jake eats lots of pasta-and-sauces, which we can both have. I try to put in some capsicum, egg, ham or slamon or something to round it out. we also eat lots of fruit.
I'm a little worried about the eating thing once B2 gets here, but you really need to make it a priority. Especially with girls I think they learn body image and stuff from us. Damn this trying to be a good role model!!!!!

On another note, how is Hannah's mouth Nikki? Was her tooth okay?

I'm the same as you, Nikki. I forget to eat, and Nathaniel keeps asking if I've had whichever meals he wasn't here to see me eat.

With Kiya, I got really stressed, and when I get stressed I don't eat. For a month when she was 6mths old and I was still breastfeeding, I only ate 2 slices of bread a day. Needless to say, I lost all the baby weight and then some! I had to wean Kiya at the end of that, as I wasn't making enough milk for her and she was getting hungry all the time.

im like you jacksmum except my body doesnt just store it fat - makes even more fat bits for me!!! But yeah im bad at eating during the day then by the time the boys are in bed im starving and end up making sometihing like pasta. Yuo know the good old carbs - NOT! Anyway got some prepaid WW stamps so gotta get motivated and go.
Nikki you could try something like complan to have with your meals. My mum was always really underweight and thats what she used to drink to help boost her weight. And its tasty too - well the choc flavour and strawberry are.

Thanks guys.
I think my main problem is that I feel I am forever preparing food for Hannah so just want to get out of the kitchen when she isn't eating!
I think I'll make more meals for both of us now.
My sis is making macaroni cheese for lunch so that sounds good!!

Oh yeah, and Han's mouth is OK now. Sores are healing/healed and her tooth doesn't seem to be damaged at all. It was definitely cracked but I think her gum must have jumped in as support and pushed the tooth tight together. I'm confident it'll be fine! Much happier kidlet!

I had that problem too, but when I was still breastfeeding.. it has taken a few months (has been 5 months since I stopped now) for me to gain a little weight (more like a little fat haha, I'm still the same weight as I was pre-preg).

What I do now that Ella eats at 11ish is have lunch with her. I make us the same sort of things too.. we share an omlette or have a sandwich each etc etc.. otherwise I used to be like you Lizzle, wait to relax and have something to eat but of course Ella wouldn't sleep when i wanted her to :P

The complan thing is a good idea, in fact I've got some samples here I got from the parent and child show, I'll give you them on the weekend. btw where are we having this bbq lol

I found that Nikki - even after i stopped feeding Paris, i just kept loosing the weight - ended up at about 51 kilos when i conceived Ayja... felt nice to fit some of the clothes in my wardrobe i hadn't fitted in ages but my family was really on my back about it. Thing was, I was forever eating cos i'd gotten into the habit of snacking when i was b/fing. I am quite bad now, If i prepare anything for the girls, i make sure i have something too, that way the day doesn't get away from me, and i don't get to 5pm and think Hang on, I didn't have lunch, i haven't eaten since breakfast.

Ana - Liar! If you've lost more weight than when I saw you last then I'd begin to start worrying

Annie - Sounds good but expensive If only I had the money to live on pies and coke and chocolate!

I've always been a similar weight, except in first year at uni when I put on a whooooole lotta weight. Damn beer. Now I'm back to skinnier than I was at school. Very handy as my sister has put on weight (first year uni) and I have lost it, so we have pretty much swapped wardrobes!

Managed to remember 3 meals a day yesterday. Now gotta have breakfast today.

lol I could do! Not breast feeding any more either

It's strange... I don't really like drinking anymore. The odd glass of wine, but the whole hangover thing really doesn't appeal to me anymore!!! And I'm only 21?!?!?! So sad....

Maybe I'll get my second wind and be a boozehag at 30. It works in perfectly with my plan to embarrass Hannah into being a well behaved teenager.
