Topic: I Miss.... Posted: 21 January 2008 at 5:57pm |
Well, im sitting here at work thinking about how much things have changed for me and hubby, and our group of friends.
I have frineds move down the line, I have some moving overseas. Its all just a little odd to me!
So, i thought id start this thread where we can voice the things that we miss and Ill start:
1. Little group get togethers with BBQ and beer
2. Being debt free lol
3. my Mum (died when i was young)

I definetly miss the freedom
My friend text me to say she was feeling down and was going away for a couple of days to "think" and even tho shes obviously not very happy my first thought was "wow, your so lucky to be able to just go whenever you please"

I miss:
1. A full nights sleep
2. Being able to sleep in
3.The freedom to do what we want when we want
But then all up...it's been worth giving this stuff up for. Still....a full night's sleep....

I miss SLEEP! Being able to sleep without being interrupted by grizzly gremlins, feral four year olds or icky sticky pregnancy nausea.
I miss my independence. I had just started getting a bit of it back before I got preg with the gremlins coz Maya was that much older and at preschool so I could go out for dinner with friends etc. and not be too shattered to function the next day.
My Mum (and Dad and brothers and sister who all live in Oz)

I miss:
My parents - they moved over to Oz last year.
My sisers - one in Welly and one in London
My DH - not long now
Being able to go out and go into any shop and not have to watch what Andrew and Josh do
My childless friends and big able to just get up and do what I want.
|
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

- having money to spend on going out more to restaurants
- day trips without the drama and packing - now it just takes too much organising!
- having more time for me & DH
- going out more at night all dressed up & pretty - now I prefer to be home in my PJs and put Gina to sleep, then veggie out and relax

I miss being able to go to the toilet by myself!
I miss have a disposable income, and buying whatever I want without thinking much about it, and getting my hair done regularly, getting massages etc!
I miss being able to go out spontanously!
