To tell the cashier your 6yr old niece is 4 so you don't have to pay full admission price?
We took my 2 nieces who are 6 and 11 to Science Alive in Chch and its $10 for children so we bribed Emily to say she's 4 so we could get her in for $5.

Nah - it's unreasonably priced and expensive to do anything these days. My parents put me in a pushchair for the world expo when we moved to Australia. But I was told the difference between a little white lie and being a liar if that makes any sense.

My older niece goes up to adult prices when she turns 12 this year!!!
Its like $40 to take the two of them and ourselves anywhere.

erm, yeah I'd say that's wrong! But I'm a stickler for telling the truth, and hey, you did ask! But anyway, no biggie.

The fact that you're asking the question means you know it's wrong...IMO, it amounts to theft.
But everyone views the world differently.

I have told them at the Zoo that Caitlyn is 3 when she was just four .(as in 4 days before)
There are worse things that i could be doing, so im sorry if people dont agree but Im not losing any sleep over it, Ive paid the full price each time since then, so ive more than made up for it .
And prices for things these days , especially the movies, is ridiculous, no wonder there is so much downloading going on , which is theft too i guess

And I dont always believe in telling the truth ,it depends on the situation , If Caitlyn asks me when shes older if her dad was happy when i said I was pregnant, I WILL lie and say yes, im not going to tell her he told me I had to have an abortion , over and over again - what good would the truth do then ? ruin the good relationship they have now? damage her self esteem?
Sometimes the truth isnt always the best thing
And sometimes it is, deciding which is the situation for the truth is often the difficult part

I kinda thought is was being dishonest, but then I did think the price they were charging for children was daylight robbery.

LMAO Sheza, Maya was a "very big 3 year old" at Rainbows End on Friday
I tried it once at the zoo but she cried and told the lady she was 4 not 3, she was most offended that I was trying to make her younger than she is lol.

My mum used to do it to me all the time as a kid as I could get away with it.
If you can get away with it then go for it

I once told my nephew they didn't let five year olds into the pools so if anyone asked he had to say he was four or they would tell him to leave. When he told SIL she laid a huge guilt trip on me, then I found out she'd been out with him one day and shoplifted for the thrill of it and to see if she'd get caught. Luckily she is now ex-SIL.
I've lied about kids ages one year either side but two is pushing it. I lie about my age all the time though.

A white lie it may be but it's still a lie so don't think I'll do it. If I did, I'd worry it will totally backfire on me when I try to teach the kids about honesty

Yeah seeeee parents do it all the time! LMAO and really theres nothing we can do about it, Cant argue with the parent its just easiest to say ok whatever.
I dont think its classed as theft at all, you are still paying, just a bit cheaper, so IMO, who cares
And OMG ive seen some kidas do that before Maya! The mother will say "One 3 years old please" and the kids is like 'Noo MUM im 4!" and the parent would go red, and say No your 3 lol, kids dont lie
