Well where do I start, John Hutton is the nicest guy, is very good at what he does, and very honest.
So we arrive, go over a bit of my medical history, he does a internal scan, informs me that i have ovulated, that my progesterone levels are great, that my estrogen levels are great. AND .... he cant tell me why i keep miscarrying.
He said there were treatments he could give me, but couldnt give me any logical reasons for doing it.
He was truely stumped, because every logical reason he had for me miscarrying was literally blown out of the water because i have Rhiannon.
So we were bascially sent away and told to keep trying, and if in 6mths we are still here, to go back and we will try some illogical treatments.
I am so gutted as is Kent, but we will keep ttcing.
On a bright note, he confirmed that although doctors kept saying i use to have PCOS, he has said that here is absolutely no sign of me ever having had it.
So onwards we keep going.

I'm sorry they couldn't have been more helpful, I know how much you sounded like you were looking forward to seeing him today.
i still think its good he was honest and said he didn't know, rather than falsely get your hopes up.
You must be feeling a bit all over the place now

What she said!
Will you go thru the recurrent miscarriage clinic from here on out? I know friends who have used them have found them really helpful.

I'm reasonably sure there is one at Wellington hospital. They look after women who have experienced recurrent miscarriage before and during pregnancy, they monitor your hCG levels early on, do extra scans etc. plus offer relaxation classes and support groups where you can talk to other people in similar circumstances. I *think* your GP can refer you, otherwise I'm sure FA will.
Gandt went thru them up here in Auckland with her boys, I'm sure if you PM her she will have more info about what they do.

well that is a bit of good news/bad news...
on the one hand it least it isnt something untreatable but on the other it tells you nothing!!!
Having to leave it all to chance is such a sucky thing! its a wonder any one ever gets pregnant having to do that...
Heres hoping for some good news soon tho!

Hi Kazzle
Sorry you didn't get something more concrete. I don't know if this is helpful but I was reading that 1 in 100 women will have three miscarriages in a row just due to chromosomal reasons. So it could be that you have just had terrible luck and you are that one person.
Good luck with this month.
