Did anyone watch this??
I am a little dissapointed that the Yellow house won (DH knows the yellow guy) I so thought the blue team deserved it more.

The whole final episode was rather anti-climatic, I thought! I was really in two minds about who should win.

Yup I was voting Blue the whole series Glad it wasn't as pathetic as last season though and the "loser" still bought their house on the night.

The house that they start off with is nothing like what is finished, its a joke. Also, the houses are getting bigger so they should be allocating more time to get each room finished.
I also wanted the blue team to win..although probably liked the Yellow house a little more but sorry, the crying from the yellow chick drove to bonkas!

Yeah I was hoping for the blue team to win too. It really did seem like most of the episodes favoured the yellows eh?
I actually genuinely preferred the blue house out of the two as well.

isn't it the yellow team who couldn't afford to buy their house if they didn't win?

i was annoyed from the start that they made a young couple with six kids and MEGA family support locally go against a couple with two kids who had family over an hour away...some weeks blue had barely any helpers there...i felt sooo bad for them! Yet yellow pulled the tears on from the beginning, had all those kids and did articles weeks before any came from the blue team with the womens mags...
I hoped BLUE would win but knew it was hopeless from the get go! I think they should cancel Mitre 10 dream home...
BTW a scullery - OMFG the yellow team went for it all didnt they I mean not many normal homes have one of those....bit over the top now is this programme! go baack to basic homes with couples evenly matched....

I liked the yellow house better. Although the family went with Blues (my cousin Greg introduced himself on there and was down helping regularly). I'm still quite glad yellow won.

What I would like to know is 2 things, how is it that the auction went to the limit of what both teams could afford and was going up in $20 amounts till it got to the blue team limit.
and also, how is it that the yellow house that was apparenlty worth $10k more went for 60k less in the auction before it was won. Auction is rigged, as was the judging as far as I was concerned. Especially the kitchen, the blues had finished their kitchen and appeared to lose based on the fact you could see the sealent on the splashback and the stools didn't go under the breakfast bar part, they yellows won with no scullery ventellation, a kitchen that is rediculiously long, and the floor still had green paint on it and wasn't finished.

Yeah we voted for the Blue Team.. nice to see that it was based in Hawera though, as that is where all of my mums side of the family are. My uncle donated the windows and doors and my cousins husband did the painting I think for the yellow house! I am orginally from Manaia... 20 mins from Hawera

What I'm so surprised about is that they valued so high, when they are right by the meatworks....imagine what they would have been valued at if there was no meatworks!!

I wanted blue to win too :( I think that the sho was biased towards yellow, though that is not yellows fault at all, it is the editing decisions).
interesting that you choose to support blue when when you know the yellows Mummy Becks.
I know family of the blues and i supported blues all the way. I actually preferred most of the blues rooms over the yellows anyway.
And of course the auction is rigged - they have to rig it becasue no one in their right mind would bid against the dream home people. And it always goes to the limit of what the team can afford in a mortgage plus the cash given, it has every year other than last year wheere somehow they stuffed up!
