Hey Guys

I've been using nappy san to wash Zaara's cloths but am just thinking when I should start introducing normal washing powder and how to go about doing so?

Emma was it you who washed all her baby cloths in nappy san? advice would be great!!

I always used softley or some other delicate wash for my kids, still do. Nappy san if there is stains. Nappy san is quite harsh so if she is tolerating that without any reaction you will be fine to put her onto normal powder. I just use the wool wash etc because i like the smell and i think it makes their clothes softer

Jono has washed all our baby clothes in Lux flakes so far, and we will use those and persil sensitive once the baby arrives.

I have never used any special washing powder, it is a waste of money unless you have a child who is allergic to it.. you can test by washing a few of their things and then if they have a rash you'll have to get something else.

I use dynamo washing liquid as my mum uses it lol

Well, I'm with Meow here, I personally think its a bit of "creative" advertising, like the junior milk thing. Now, I'm not critisizing here, its just my opinion!
I soak all of JJ's stuff in nappisan or whatever and wash in persil. I always used to use Reflect, I have to admit, I choose powder on smell, (and consumer mag..)as well as value for money. I have exzema and reactive dermititis, so i do tend to not use cheaper brands of powders, as they seem to make me itch. Luckily, So far, JJ dosen't seem to have this terrible affliction. If he did, or I am bad with mine, I uses eco store or that sort of stuff, or persil sensitive. There is also a good ecoone that is endorsed by plunket, but they are MEGA expensive if you wash alot, like me. I'm very very fussy about all of my washing, so I seperate like its an olympic sport. I think she will be fine, Roksana, using whatever you think is best.

I think so too Annie...And I wash alot...I change Zaara several times a day and so as you can imagine have loads of washing at the end of the day and then there is our stuff...hubby and I never wear the same thing twice....hmmm

I am worried tho that she will react to some thing....

like Meow said, just wash a couple o fher things and see what happens. Also, maybe you could reduce the amount of powder you put in or use more water (I.E choose medium load when its only a small load) I think if she hasn't reacted to nappisan, you should be right!

LMAO Claire at Jono doing the washing! I wish!

I am a bit of a nutter - I bring my washing liquid back from Australia as Maya has sensitive skin and until recently there were no sensitive liquids available here (only Lux Flakes and Persil Sensitive powder) and I don't like powder.

But I see Persil are now doing a sensitive liquid so will have to check that out.

I soaked all the nappies in napisan tho, and still soak the daycare clothes if they are skunky when she comes home.

Hehehe, I know, I'm so lucky! I NEVER have to touch anything to do with laudry - all I do is wear or use things, and then they turn up all clean and ironed and put away I thought we had a fairy living at our place, but Jono insists it's him
