I know we might have a couple, but don't think there are a big number of teen mums here. The ones that are registered don't come by much, but then again, my memory is pretty shocking right now !

I'm a loyal forum kid to this one. (That and now there are so many members here I can't keep up with the posts as it is!)

Just wondering tho Mary, a girl from Otago Uni recommended that site when I first found out I was preggo. Her name was Ellie and she was originally from Wellington, said her friend had set up the site. Do you know her?!? (or is it a different site?!?!)

a good idea tho a place for younger mums to chat and get support...

It is getting quite bad and especially because it is a commercially sensitive area.

Ah well, what *I* was referring to was pretty general I guess, although I did manage to figure out which thread it was that others have referred to here - could be a legally awkward situation if that particular one got out of hand. Although, I will be honest about saying that even though it was on the 'Gossip Board', the thread where one girl goes off about the police really struck a nerve.

ooh yeah, did read that with a frown. How come people can never take responsibility for thier own actions, it's always someone elses fault or the polices, cos they just randomly pick on people and arrest them for no reason?

I can sometimes understand people who I guess carry a grudge, but then again I have so many friends who are police officers and can sometimes struggle a lot with their jobs. Not saying they don't love what they do, but there are two sides to every story.

what I don't get about the police post there is that, she was banned, ID or no ID so the bouncer I felt was right (not to start a debate or anything)

Hmm, looks like there have been some changes made to the site now, restricted access and some threads have disappeared?

Yeah there have been restrictions put in place, it's kind of complicated background but all I'll say is that there appears to bad blood between this teen mums site and another big forum which was very badly slandered.

All posts have now been deleted on the teen mums site relative to this and as a member of the slandered forum i for one am hoping that will be the end of the story.

If people don't mind me saying it's probably better to not get into it here either. If teen mums would like a site specific to them then hopefully they can get some good stuff out of it and there won't be any more issues.

we have a couple of teen mums, I am sure we can all offer support, and perhaps if they wanted they could set up a thread like the girls who are trying and the fertility friends one, after all Oh Baby would have to be one of the best nz based ones!
