i havent got it but my sister has...they were a bit disappointed with it as with normal sky you can tape programs onto a DVD recorder's hard drive and put things onto DVD's...with mysky you can't do that. it just keeps it on the internal memory thingy and once you watch it you basically have to delete it. not so cool if you have the movie channels and want to record movies....

but they said apart from that its not too bad

I was against having it at first but DP persisted, I gave in and now I love it. Great to catch the later shows that I used to stay awake for and feel shattered the next day.

Same here, but OMG I really really love it. You can tape stuff if you have a dvd recorder, you tape it while you play it. That said, I just save things on the hard drive and if its something I want to keep, we have multiroom, so have another decoder and our dvd recorder is set up there.

I love to record my fave reality shows (rock of love bus) and watch them when hubby is out without his mirth and derision at my crud taste in tv shows...

We have it and LOVE it. Don't know what we would do without it either!! I agree too that you can tape all the girly programmes and watch them when DH isn't around so no complaining!!

There is a storage limit, but we've never been over it. Unless you're recording heaps of movies you should be right.

I would recommend paying the one off payment too, I think it's $500 or something and not the monthly fee, otherwise you end up paying way more for it. If you've got the cash GO FOR IT!!!

We have it & love it, have had sky for years then upgraded to mysky which cost approx $600 then, but they often have special deals which makes it cheaper.

We got mysky HD when it came out & love the movies in HD what a difference, plus you can do a few more things with it, it tapes 3 at a time.

We put the other mysky downstairs, so we can tape heaps.

Convinced yet? lol. We've got mysky and it's awesome!!, can record things while you're not home, series link so you never miss a programme. It's great because I have things recorded off playhouse disney so Kahtrell can watch his fave programmes even when they're not scheduled on yet. The live pause and rewind is O for Owesome, and there is a usb port so assuming if you know how you would possible transfer stuff from mysky decoder to external hard-drive, haven't read through the instruction book. But yea love it! And it's cheap. I didn't want it at first cos of the install price but since it came down and we've got a little bit of extra money a week thought why not.

Same as everyone else - we love it, live pause is great and so is series link. We paid the one off charge and I think it was the best $$ we spent last year

We have a media PC that DH put together. We just use freeview and can schedule programs to be recorded.

It doesn't have the series link but overall we prefer it to Sky as I only ever watch the basic channels anyway.

After the initial cost of the PC we have no monthly costs
