found this on another site i occasionally visit and it sounded quite interesting... i'll just copy and paste the details...


This FUN guided pram walking programme offers a fantastic way for all parents and caregivers to become more physically active, meet new people and enjoy some of Auckland's beautiful parks.

The Great Pram Stroll!

Come along with the kids and enjoy a fun-filled stroll in the park.

Date: 10am-1pm, Thursday, 27th September 2007
Rain date: Friday, 28 Sept 2007
Venue: Western Springs, Auckland
What: A beautiful walk along the coast with fantastic harbour views.
Meet: Event starts at 10am at Western Springs Park playground (entrance off Motions Rd), with the option to begin the 30–45 min walk between 10–11.30am.

Free Active Movement activities for children aged 0–5, between 10am–1pm.
Free Entertainment by Buzzy Bee’s Big Day Out & MC’s “The 2 Robbies!”
Spot Prize Draw at 12.30pm.

Sport Auckland – (09) 815 4725 to register for this event or go online www.sportauckland.co.nz before the 27th and go in the draw to win a year’s membership to Les Mills Auckland City!

Parking: Recommended parking at Zoo overflow carpark on Motions Rd or Western Springs Speedway through Gate 2, (entrance off Stadium Rd). No parking in the zoo carpark!
