I am trying to track down anyone that has used my midwife, as I am starting to get a little bit worried about whether or not we will "click" during labour & delivery.

Her name is Stephanie Vague and she is part of the Midwives Collective in Balmoral. If anyone has used her or knows anyone that has - can they please PM me?!

Thanks!

SimSam I can't help either, but I am a little the same as you. I can't say I "click" with my m/w, but she is very reassuring towards me and quite touchy (in a nice kind of way) with me which kind of makes me feel secure.

My Mum has come along with me to a couple of m/w appointments lately (only cause she is taking over my job so has been out in the car with me) and I have to admit the m/w has become alot different, and in a good way since meeting my Mum and DH. Its almost like she knows the whole me now. Mum is also attending the birth and the m/w knows this so I think its helping us all "bond" knowing we will all be there at the birth together so she's enjoying getting to know them too.

Hhhhmmm don't know if that really answers your question, but I don't think you are the only one that feels this way, especially being a first time Mum!

I'm also not much help, other than to say that the Midwives Collective have a fantastic reputation.
I didn't really *know* my midwife when I was pregnant with Maya, I saw her at appointments etc. but it was very 'professional' like if that makes sense.
But during the 12 or so hours I was in labour at the hospital we talked a lot (to fill in time I guess) and I ended up knowing her pretty well. And the delivery etc. was so great that I wouldn't trust anyone else to deliver my babies and fought tooth and nail to have her deliver the gremlins as well.
So I'm sure you and your midwife will be fine on the big day!

I had Luise Brandt and Rhonda Jackson from Midwives Collective. They were both awesome! I never met Stephanie Vague though, sorry!
