Ummm...this doesn't sound too romantic but whenever we are together it just feels "right" the way he makes me feel when I look into his eyes, when he holds me and overall with being around him just feels amazing. That's what I believe made me realise I was "in love".

When he carried me in his arms from the beach all the way back to the car after he had pushed me off the wood and I sprained my wrist.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I never had a 'moment' but it was just the realisation over time that I find the most comfort and peace when I'm with him. He's always there when I need him, he always puts me first and would do anything for me and vice versa (me for him). Like Helen said, it just feels 'right' when we're together.

I chose to be - for life. Now I see those moments all the time. The curve of her back. The way she looks after the kids, and I come home at a surprising time and see her mothering the kids. The way her nose wrinkles when shes angry. Her quick wit, when she's digging me. The way she reservedly finds out how to give herself to me, and vice-versa. The amount of times she looks at me, with a soft look in her eyes and says ever-so-gently "I love you." When she chooses to do lawns/clean my car/make me food/whatever...JUST BECAUSE! I didn't ask or expect it, she just does it! When she gets up in the middle of the night and bumps into the wall, cuz it's too dark and she missed the door. Her fire when we fight. Her gentleness with a baby. The way she loves to play and be. Her sense of compassion and Justice, when things aren't fair to someone else. Her willingness to listen, to change, to improve, to not become stagnant. Her hard work in building other people up.

These are only a few of the things that make me realise I am in LOVE with this woman. I would die for her. But I don't want to die for her so I can spend more time with her.

chovy - OF COURSE I do all of those things, all the time EXCEPT walking into walls and wrinkling my nose when angry - surely you made those up!!?

Kelly, I can't really remember a defining moment, but I was 16 when we started going out and I remember my DH meeting up privately with my parents and I realised in that moment that I would be absolutely devastated if the meeting was about something else.

I also never had a moment, but that dawning realisation over time that DH was 'home' to me. No matter where we are or what happens, we are ok because we are together. Because we choose each other over and over and over again.

Being a hopeless romantic, I used to think that something was missing from our relationship because we didn't have that 'moment' of falling in love, but this is much more satisfying and feels so much more real and long lasting, IYKWIM?

After we'd been going out for about 3 months I'd gone on a holiday to Oz for 3 weeks with my mum (I was 17), & when i got home things felt a little weird between us, like I didn't know if I really wanted to still be together....

Dh (boyfriend at the time obviously) noticed this & we had a couple of days apart for "a break" & when we got together to talk about it I realised THEN that I DID love him & wanted to be with him! The thought of loosing him made me wake up to myself!! We were married 2 yrs later & just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary & we're still soooo in love with each other!!

I think I realised it when I could be totally myself in front of him and feel comfortable about it. He is probably the only person that I will say and do what I like in front of without feeling self consious, and I hope he feels the same in front of me. We are not romantic people, we didn't have a moment, but that's fine cos that's us, we say what we mean, straight to the point, no floweryness.

That's easy - when he first kissed me - I thought to myself wow i really like this guy - went home and thought yep i can see myself being married to this one.
7 years later we're about to be married, we've got our own home, a furr baby and soon a real baby.

He feels like "home". I knew right from the first time we got talking that he was "the one". We are chalk and cheese, though, but that blalnces us out nicely. Plus, I am SUPER high maintenence (a real diva) and he just takes it in his stiride, taking me off my high horse as he cruises by. He's the first guy I haven't felt I had to "change" or reign my personality in for. I can be myself and he loves me anyhow.
