I've found with most twins (other than Emma's gremlins) that they are usually too small to go straight into MCN so would advise that you use sposies for a bit until they get bigger, 5-6 weeks should be good.

I'm not sure where you would get a trial pack with enough nappies to see if you could manage going cloth 24/7? Perhaps that would be something you could ask your multiple birth club?

You're certainly not crazy though! You've got double the amount of sposies to buy so would save heaps by using MCN. Sure you'd have to buy more than just for 1 baby but they would still save you in the long run

All the best with the delivery of your twins, They'll share a birthday with Emma's twins too

As I said before I have 2 in MCN's, not twins though! And I find it easy... the nappies all go in the wash together etc. You would need a bog base of nappies though as you would be changing them so often.

I see you are due soon so good luck with the new additions!

Not sure if you've seen the list of hire kits, but I think some have prem and newborn size, rather than just smalls so they may fit from the start. Heres the link to it if you want.

Definitely not crazy! And good luck - not long to go now

If you didnt want to use sposies for very long you could always try getting a hire kit to try different sorts and possibly get some prefolds and wraps to make sure you had enough for both kiddies. Then you would still be able to get them in to cloth early and try to fine the system that suits best.

Good Luck.

PS. I dont think you are crazy at all. I would completely go cloth with twins (in fact had thought about it just in case )

i used a hire kit on jordis, and i highly recommend it for trialing different types of nappies. i am sure you would be able to find someone that has bigger kits to cater for twins, or get 2 kits.

all the best for the upcoming *eviction* and first few weeks.

Have to agree with all those that agree you are totally sane. I found having to fork out for sposies for one kiddo was enough of a dent in the pocket, let alone two!! Eeeek!

and a hire kit would be good, but they do book out quite fast I think. Check on www.clothnappy.co.nz and The Nappy Network for hire kits.

(Edited to fix stuff - Doofus. Sane. Not insane. Sorry about that!!)
