Heya,
My sister is having a baby...YAY!!
But my question is she hasnt got a midwife in Wellington and she will move back up here (auck)to be with the dad and close to family etc in December... does anyone know if she can get a midwife/OB to take her on up here so they dont get booked out??
I have suggested she ring my OB and get him to put her on the books but not too sure how it would work!!
I'd say start calling around for one up here that will be able to take her, she could always go with teh hospital team in Wellington and then an independent midwife up here, but it would pay to get it sorted soonish. Or she could just transfer to the hospital team up here.

Cool thanks... I wondered about hospital teams! I think she needs to get one down there asap as she doesnt even know her due date yet! Thank fully the Dr gave her folic acid etc though.
