Who in the South Island has almost been blown away this morning??? Going to have to send DH across the road to see what tried to escape. Outdoor furniture all upturned around the lawn but no trees down thank goodness .... yet

We have fantastic sunshine and the wind has gone down but there is still a few good blustery gusts. The worst of it wat around 6am so we were all safe all but me asleep. Hope it doesn't get too bad up north & it eases in Wellington soon
I like all the changes in weather, but don't like it when it gets too extreme & people get hurt

We hung washing out overnight and at 6am it was dry!!! Though I had to pick half it up off the ground!

I was lying in bed about 5.30am and it it sounded as though you could hear it coming before it 'hit' the house!! Great day now though!!!
