Topic: Thank you from the BS family! Posted: 20 October 2007 at 12:56pm |
Thankyou to all for your thoughts, Pms to me and BSDH, and all of the warm fussies we all received in the past few days.
Gabriella is now back home - we got home about 5pm last night! She had last IV dose late yest arvo and is now on low dose for four days - still a cough there but heres hoping it killed that pneumonia! This all developed from the horrid flu we bought back from Melb in August (some of you will recall)
Now I still need a cure for the cling on - I now walk out of a room and she cries, she clambers to me and falls asleep on my shoulder, and horrid mummy is now trying to ignore her a lot so she will go to daddy or grannie more and not cling....bring on DC for tuesday I cant wait!
Being back in my own bed was awesome, and she seems so much more content in her cot too!
thanks again all!

I'm so glad you guys are back home. You will probably find her mummy-clingy until she feels completely better. In your position I'd be allowing the clingy stuff Sat/Sun then pulling back on Monday in preparation for Tuesday - I presume you are back to work that day.

Glad to hear all is well again. As for the clinging Abby was the same after her stint in hospital and after a few days she was back to normal, although she's older.
The cough is horrible Abs had hers for 6 weeks afterwards.

yeah they said they will do another chest xray in 5-6 weeks time to see if the pneumonia has shurnk or gone......OMG any volunteers to take her for that cause i think daddy and I are done watching her have one of those....Ginger? Emma? Kate?
Seriously the thought of it saddens me.... I think if she sounds ok by then then we might skip it to be honest....picture a bubba sitting on a saddle type seat, arms above her head, clear tubes come from both sides and lock her into position inside the tube and you have to stand in front of her holding her arms up as she pleads with you to get her out by her eyes and by her screams....oh no no no not doing that again!
only laugh of it all was tech asking if i could be pregnant....AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

but I'd help with the xray if I was closer. It's easier when you're not the parent - and I'm not pg

Yay for being back home. I asked Emma if it all resulted from that cold she got when you came back from Oz, poor little girl. Hopefully the clinginess dissapears over the next few days.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
