Why do men always start DIY at the most bizarre times?

I don't blame you for being scared. I always have to inspect what my DH is doing anytime I hear a powertool start up.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Uh oh! Good luck!

I felt the same way when DH told me over the phone that he had a surprise for me when I got home today (I left him with the baby on his day off while I went to the P&C show). My first thought was 'you have changed her nappy today, right?'

And yes, he had. He had also built me some new planter boxes. Good man!
Mum to two gorgeous girls!

Phew! He's fixing his drawers! Huge breath of relief! It's been months, why now of all times?

When the urge strikes... and all that... They do pick the strangest times to do things like that. Glad he hadn't taken out a wall or something Emma.
