be buying your man for Christmas?

He's the last one I've gotta buy for this year!! And I always find him hard because he likes fun and creative things whereas I like practical LOL. I have a few ideas - clothing (oops practical hehe), chocs/cashews (I know he likes these but I like to give a present that lasts a bit longer and is remembered!), playstation game (he has suggested I could get him something he can play with the girls, but not car racing or sport, and/or snowboarding/skateboarding game), magnetics (he has a set so it would be to add to what he's got). And then I'm stuck!

Our first Christmas I got my DH a remote control car and one for Christopher so they could play together. It wasn't all that expensive - from the Warehouse or Dick Smiths and he LOVED it. Aside from that a PC or XBOX game always goes down very well...

We haven't done expensive gifts for a couple of years so as it is his 30th in Nov, I plan to get him an espresso machine. Totally OTT but he has wanted one for ages and it'll make a change from me spending all the $$ on myself and Elle. We certainly don't usually buy lavish gifts!

This year because I'm not working it's all about the kids so no pressies for me and DH. But we don't really buy much anyway as I don't really care about presents and we usually just buy want we want when we want it. (when I was working that is)
Anyway will be getting DH a Telescope for his big 40th next year and he also wants a guitar. I'll be back at work by then.

I bought DH a thing to have a go at racing a car round brands hatch when we lived in the UK that was great, is there anything similar out here?
Or maybe a flying lesson or something really out of the ordinary that he will remeber forever.
What about an upcoming concert etc that he might be into.
Oh and playstation games that he could play with the girls, how about the buzz game show one, we played that at a friends last christmas and that was great, it was the music one but I think there is a general knowledge one out now.
One of Jamie Olliver's cook books, or maybe a book on how to survive as a SAHD.

Yeah I don't buy for my brother or SIL but I do buy for my nieces. We still buy something for each other, DF is still a big kid at heart and likes to have something to unwrap on Christmas Day.

Stuff to take away with him next year. So Nivea means packs and stuff like that.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

DH's bday is the 22nd so i just get him something small, haven't even thought that far ahead yet though
