Topic: embrassing question Posted: 26 November 2005 at 12:35pm |
well maybe not, but its it normal after an organism for it to continue on for a little bit without being touched?
i cant believe how much my sex drive has increased, my husband actually said to me last night that i was like an animal in heat, i wasnt sure how to take that, but he assured me that he absoultely loved me being like that.
i am also finding that the morning after the night before that my stomach cramps on and off for the day, is this normal, there is no spotting or anything, its just something that never happened before i got pregnant.

Yes to your first question.
some peoples sex drive goes through the roof when preggers, and others dies off completely , I think it hits its stride in second trimester, so your husband should be thanking his lucky stars!! (I went off it big time, and still haven't got it back!)
Not too sure about the cramping thing though, maybe they are just little "after shocks", I know they happen after a *cough* big nite...

Yep completely normal!
I found the same thing and while sex drive has petered off, still a lot more into it than I used to be. (Well, when I'm not too damn tired!)

they could be braxton hicks maybe? i think i found about this time in my pregnancies that i would get the cramps etc the day after too, maybe something also to do with working those tummy muscles that are trying to stretch? lol

Because of all the extra blood in our bodies while we are pregnant, more blood than usual goes down there when we are aroused. This means that we are more sensitive to stimulation... so a little touching can go a long way!

When I was preggy I wanted "realtions" all the time!! And I often got the crampy things the day after and it bloomin' hurt so I always said that was the last time, hehehehe, needless to say it wasn't....But I hated the cramps!!

won't be long... about 22 weeks you should be able to feel it from the outside. though it takes a bit of concentration

*Warning* Semi TMI!
One night about 3 weeks before Arna was born David and I had "relations" and was a bit on the "rigourous" side... Ended up going to hospital for monitoring coz bub didn't like it and bunched up in a ball right under my ribs... Felt like someone put a basketball ON TOP of my baby... was soooo uncomfortable!! So yes thats normal!!

Haha your funni Nikki!! Yeah it did hurt but then we were also worried cause she wasn't moving, kicking etc so thought we killed her Thankfully that wasn't so!
My advice - In later pregnancy when your sooo hormonal and *cough* horny... Just don't do what we did

I found while I was pregnant with Miya my sex drive went nuts! I wanted it all the time it got to a point where if I didn't get it I would get in some really foul moods! Josh couldn't work out what was going on.
I also got the cramps and they were pretty bad, I asked my midwife at the time and she said that sex can cause the uterus to contract so thats what the cramps are.
Going off the subject a little. . . .I found I lost my sex drive completely during the last two weeks of pregnancy and the day after Miya was born my sex drive came back stronger than ever. Has any other mums experienced this? It just doesn't seem normal.

I thought I'd be too tired to consider it and I was and am soooo tired I seem to be living on 5hrs of broken sleep a night and even with that I get both the kids to sleep then the. . .um. . ."relations" start which means even less sleep but most nights I just can't help myself! Before I was pregnant with Miya I didn't have much of a sex drive at all, it almost seems like my hormoanes are set on overdrive!

I havent been keen since I was preggers.... Poor hubby! I used to just "lay back and think of England" when preg, not very nice, I know, but I just wasnt into it. Then the last months and I wanted it all the time, but hubby didn't (didnt want to hurt baby). Now I'm still not keen, tired, etc. considering we are keen to get started on #2!!1
