Topic: Movement Posted: 28 November 2005 at 11:03am |
Hello everyone sorry I haven't been online for a wee bit very slack I know. I hope you are all well. I am just over 18 wks and thought I felt a little flutter last week but haven't had anything since so are really not sure if it was baby or not. I am abit anxious as my tummy has definately grown but would love to feel movement just for that reassurance. Did anyone else feel like this and think 'I hope everythings ok?' I have my scan tomorrow which we can't wait for!!

Dont if this is your first you may not feel the fluttering until abot 20 weeks. As for second time mothers they know wot to feel for.

I was 20 weeks when I found out I was pregnant with Kiya, and I didn't really feel her move for another 3weeks after that. Your scan will help reassure you, but you are normal!

I think sometimes you do feel baby move earlier, but aren't sure if it's baby, or gas or whatever. i know that i was unsure. then second tmie around you know "yes definitely baby" - hence feeling it sooner.

I'm definitely feeling Baby move, but this is baby number two. And it doesn't help that I look at least 20 weeks.
I had one lovely old dear at the supermarket tell me "it can be too much longer". I didn't want to tell her I wasn't even half way!! Yikes

Yep, I thought I felt baby move when I was about 18 weeks (I did feel him move but wasn't sure at the time) and then didn't feel anything again until at least 22 weeks and the whole time I was really nervous thinking something might be wrong.... Scan reassured me though. I think because at that stage in the pregancy most people are over the morning sikness, not showing heaps yet, no movements etc. and all of a sudden you don't really feel pregant anymore for a while you know? I know I went through a panicky "I m not preggers anymore" phase....

I had that exact feeling too Ana. No morning sickness but no movement or bump so was hanging out to see the midwife every month and hear the heartbeat.
