Well, didn't get that last job. turned out it was only for one term so wasn't too worried about that. the principal said I interviewed well which was nice but they were such a small school they needed someone who could ocntribute more subjects - i teach english (they had), drama (nup), ESOL (nup) and possibly japanese(nup).

anyway, got a call yesterday from another school - prominenet boys school - not the one in the paper with the ex-principal - and they will interview me next week. Asked me about my experience with boys and were actually interested that i had two of my own. Might actualy be in my favour to have them! woohoo.

Oh good luck! I hope it goes well!

To be honest, having kids is in your favour as a teacher, as at least you are less likely to be going on maternity leave in the short term - if you have finished your family, casually throw that in the conversation without appearing obvious, I reckon that if it comes down to 2 equal applicants they are likely topick the one less likely to be wanting a year off shortly! Lol!

Yay that is great news Liz.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
