Topic: when life hands you lemons Posted: 26 November 2007 at 3:49pm |
pull out the tequila and salt! And boy would I love some.
Jack hasn't been well the last week or so and it ended up with us at the emergency department yesterday. 1 lecture to me about using other facilities like Shore Care (after being told by another nurse at the hospital to bring him straight to them - oh well). He has a lower respirary tract infection. More AB's for him and lots of pamol to keep the fever down. I got in touch with my sister while I was there and she turned up at 11.30 to get things rolling quickly while we were there (I actually told her not to bother, think she just wanted to show her importance ). T
And then to top it off, I can't look after him. I can barely hold him. I have done something to my back (x-rays show no disk problem). The doc thinks it is a pinched nerve and I am now in agony as it seems to be only getting worse. Guess I should be pleased to get a day off work!
Shame the tequila will mess with the muscle relaxants otherwise I might just open the bottle!

Hugs SB hope you are both feeling better soon.
You couldn't get me to drink tequila if you paid me (bad bad memories or actually no memory but bad hangover)But a good old bourbon and coke can cure just about anything.

Jack went back to daycare today - yay. I am off for the rest of the week. Got my x-rays back, saw my pretty spine and pelvis and it is all fine. Next step is MRI - joy!
