The kids I taught this year (8 year olds) gave me a card yesterday and here are some of the comments that cracked me up (typed as they are written)

Aww cute! The funniest thing I had happen one year was a parent come in and tell me their son had come home and said Miss ~~~ is gay - he'd misheard me telling the class that I was engaged!

Kids say (and in your case write!) the darndest things!!
