Topic: toys that make noise Posted: 26 December 2007 at 8:08am |
I thought they were very cool, but not when DD gets up this morning and turns them all on....well actually thats not true, cos I was lying bed laughing at all the noise, and I could hear her going, wow and yay everytime something did something.
My children were so spoilt it wasn't funny and I loved every minute of it all. Even the bit where we had DH and boys BBQ-ing standing at the opened back doors with the BBQ just on the outside of the house and him just onn the inside and it p***ing down outside, very funny indead, good old taranaki weather.
Lovely day outside today though, will have to go for a walk along the walkway with Cailins new very cool bike...that is if we can get her away from her very cool Thomas set, car racing set and numerous talking and laughing and singing toys
Hope you all had a great christmas and get to relax a bit today on boxing day

LOL - I dont think we got any noisy toys. Hannah got a recorder but doesnt play with it long enough to be a pain! She got heaps of other cool stuff tho, should keep her entertained at least for today!! Bummer about the rain, but you sound like you made the best of it anyway - we were actually able to cook the bbq outside and even eat outside. Didnt start raining here until late afternoon - very lucky.
Have a good day today playing with all the new toys

This has been our first year without noisy toys!!! When they get too much, just put the odd one in a top cupboard space for a month

OMG noisy toys, where do I start?!?! The gremlins got ride on animals that play horrendous music, the Leap Pad Leapstart learning table, the Fisher Price laugh and learn puppy, a train that makes real train sounds and Maya got Baby Alive which never shuts up and the piece de resistance from my grandparents - an electric bloody keyboard!
I have never heard so much racket in all my life!

Andrew and josh both got a few noisy toys. Josh loves his Peek'a'Block train and has been keping him out of my hair for a few minutes at a time.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Oh god, Sam was so, so, so spoilt for his first Christmas and every thing he got is noisy! The exersaucer, 'wheels' the bus, the mix and play drum set, the singing buzzy bee, and anything that doesn't make a noise, he just bashes into something else to make a noise! Headache!!

Caleb got the Peek a blocks train too and I have decided it will stay at his Grandma's (she gave it to him) as he has worked out you can sit and hold your finger on the button and it keeps on making noise continually.
Two hours was more than enough for me yesterday, thankfully it was the only noisy toy he got (although he was spoilt) and the other present from my parents is nice and quiet.

Dunno where it was from, Deb - it was a gift from friends. I doubt they're pricey - it's a toy kit as opposed to the real kits that you can get for kids. We're talking plastic, plastic, plastic. But she has a blast on it - sits there playing it just like a real drummer, has the kick pedal going, uses both toms and loves the cymbal. Very cute! It's her fave Christmas prezzie by far.
