I am 6 weeks and am feeling nausia almost all day. does any one have any ideas of lessoning it?

I have tried crackers, raro, eating in general, when I was in the 1-4 weeks eating made the nausia go away but now it is still hanging around.

HELP please

Sorry, the only thing which really helped me was to make sure I ate little and often, oh and made sure I rested as much as I could.

Hope things get better for you soon

Ginger.

Ginger ale, beer, gingernuts

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

for me eating worked too. Had to be stuff like fruit though cos things like chocolate and sweets would make me feel worse 10 minutes later.

Also miso soup saved me heaps. It was the salt content I think.

Try everything everyone suggests until you find the one that works for you. Poor DH had something like 15 opened bottles of drink in the fridge to throw out at one stage whilst I was trying to find what worked for me/what I could tolerate ie trying to keep food and liquid down.

ginger and crackers etc. didn't help me at all.. in fact nothing really did. But I felt a bit less nauseous if I never let myself get overtired, or hungry. Often I would throw up as soon as I felt hungry, so eating an iceblock while I was getting myself some food would help.

Also drinking juice (or powerade cos its not as gross to throw up) instead of water helped me... I couldn't keep any water down. And I could only eat toast and potatoes, no fruit or veg...

I think the iceblocks were probably the most helpful! Just having a little bit of sugar in your tummy helps a bit.

I really found those sea sickness bands worked for me, but nothing else.
also actually being sick stopped me feeling so nauseous IYKWIM
It's really a case of working out what works for you and sticking with that.
It does pass though, well most of the time

There are some ms lilly pops that you can get - I'm sure someone who's tried them will be able to shed more light.
I found little meals often and a bag of sour lollies in my bag worked for me. And plain cold yoghurt when all else failed

I had all day sickness aswell and really the only thing that would stop me from throwing up was crackers, and my midwife said to put peanut butter on them because protein can help stop you from throwing up.
MS is the suckest part of being pregnant! Also try and drink lots of water, Ice cold water seemed to help me a lot somedays, and other days nothing worked and I just sat feeling sorry for myself lol

Hope it gets better for you soon.

I too had nausea all day with number 1 from 6 weeks until 11 weeks. I'm afraid nothing really helped much other than resting, keeping cool (being in an air-conditioned office vertually halfed the nausea!) and eating small amounts regularly. I seemed to need to eat lots of starchy carbs to help keep my nausea down.

I think it is worse in hot weather so keeping cool helps

Definitely keep eating little and often. I found keeping some almonds in my handbag helped, as well as barley sugars. And salty chips.

It also helped being brought breakfast in bed before I got up - my usual was a glass of milk and a marmite sandwich on white bread with no crusts.

There's also an anti-nausea spray you can get from Healtheries - if you go in and ask, they'll tell you what's best. I ended up with a combination of 2 different things.

For me one benefit of feeling nauseous all day was that I never acutally vomitted. I HATE vomitting so I thought that it was better to have low level nausea all day than vomitting once or twice a day.

I'm already feeling a bit nauseous this time around and it's only 4 weeks. Last time it kicked in at about 7weeks. Uh oh.

Oh I used to have regular 'gagging sessions' after brushing my teeth in the mornings. Switching to the citrus toothpaste fixed this.

I had really bad nausea 24/7 for about 5 mths. I tried various things along the way.

I did find plain popcorn was good. I kept a container by my bed so if I woke up in the night I could have a handul or first thing in the morning.
They are good because they help soak up the juices in your stomach that make you feel sick.

Good luck - hope it doesnt last too long

Starchy things like white bread and pototoes helped me. Tried the sea bands also, i'm not sure that they helped that much. Ginger just made me sicker.

Tried the sea bands too, didn't seem to help me at all... but it was pretty severe for me, throwing up 10 times a day for the first 5 months... only just stopped throwing up every day in the last few weeks, and I'm almost due!!

Dairy food and fruit/veg is awful to throw up so I stuck to starchy food and pregnancy vitamins. Having the hubby bring me toast in bed as soon as I woke up helped a bit in the mornings.

Also forgot to say... peppermint tea and plain popcorn seemed to help a bit as well as the iceblocks.

I too suffered from all day nausea for my entire pregnancy. I actually didn't find anything that helped, apart from maxolon (anti-nausea drug) which was prescribed at 12 weeks. I did quite like frozen apple juice though - would go through a litre a day.

Good luck - hope it goes away soon. It's the pits
