Topic: Spooky!!! Posted: 21 January 2006 at 2:22pm |
Ok, I'm just going to crank up the "flakiness" meter to high.
I think I'm going nuts and watch too much tv, BUT some spooky and creepy *shudder* things have been happening here. Last week, in the middle of the night, I walked past the spare room (after feeding JJ)and noticed the stereo was on. No one goes in there, so I rushed in (eyes covered)and turned it off, jumped into bed and pulled duvet over head.. Happened again during the day a couple of times. THEN last night, I was getting tea ready, made a potato bake, popped it in oven and set about setting the table. Opened up the glass cupboard door to get some glasses out AND THERE WAS A STACK OF SLICED POTATO BETWEEN SOME OF THE GLASSES a wee way back, too...(first time in ages we have had sliced potatoes, and glass cupboard is emptied out at least once a week, so would have noticed them there before)THEN this morning, the stereo in the spare room was on again.......Also, JJ has been cracking up, smiling talking and waving at "nothing" alot lately... I think maybe the lack of sleep is making me more freaked out than usual!!
ooooohhhhhhh spooky!!!

The stereo thing is possibly explainable, but still disturbing - there may be something wrong with it, maybe - but the potatoe thing is just weird and creepy!! You dont htink the lack of sleep caused you to think a pile of sliced potatoe was a glass...??!!! Very spooky!

Oooo if it is a ghost do you think it's a two year old??? I mean a stack of potato in the glass cupboard, stereo being turned on and off. Sounds like the work of a toddler to me!!

LOL Nikki!
But seriously, how spooky! I don't know if I'd want to be at home alone, just that crawling skin feeling
Along similar spooky lines, Willie and Maya are both convinced that the baby we lost was a girl. I wasn't sure either way and I felt a bit weird just 'deciding' what baby was. I haven't been sleeping well since the m/c either, but last night I had a really vivid dream and I saw baby and they were right - she is a girl, and in the dream her name was Te Anahera Pono. It's a Ratana name that Willie and I discussed for Maya, and then forgot all about.
Woke up feeling more at peace with things, but also a little freaked out.

awww emma your wee angel's trying to tell you she's ok and wanting you to feel better about the situation. i've had similar dreams (sort of) when my nana died. she'd visit me and tell me she was alot happier now very freaky but also, as you said, makes you feel more peaceful

Ooooo shivers up back of the neck reading those posts.
I thought about your stereo Annie, and a possible (non-spiritual) explanation is that maybe someone set an alarm for the stereo to go off and you just haven't heard it until now? Or possibly the volume was down really low in the past so you couldn't hear it go off and someone recently turned it up?!?
The only explanation I can come up with for the potatoes is that your are nuts Mind you, as a mother, that isn't totally far fetched as I have been known to try and put the milk away in the laundry

ohh scary. I watch ghost hunt and get freaked out.
We went to see Jeanette wilson the other night and my dad was the first spirit to come through. Man that was really good. She just came up to my mum and sad Joy or Joan? Mum said my name is Joy. Then she took her up on stage and told her heaps of stuff. Was very cool to hear from my dad.

back when i lived at home we had a hallway that ended in a T shape - there were two doors next to each other at the end, and one at the side, like this... - - i anways, both me and my sis were in the bedroom which is first door, the next was lounge, and the other is mums room. we both woke up one night and saw this white outline in mums doorway( we had bunks with our heads by the door) - was when i was about 7, my sis was 14, and mum woke up too at the same time and saw it too - I just burried my head under the pillows freaked out, think i fell back asleep like that. we all said about it next morn to each other and my other sisters that have a room further down the hall thought we were all nuts! i remember mum reading in the paper a week later that the guy who lived in our house before us had died. afer that a whole string of "interesting" things used to happen at her house - it's still creepy there sometimes.. very cold and just ick - not a nice house to be in by yourself!
My sister had a few creepy thing happen after my nana died - her 3 yr old used to tell her of a white lady sitting on his bed at night keeping him safe, and she'd check her kids and they'd be out of bed or have kicked sheets off, she'd go back later and they'd be tucke din and neither her nor partner had done it - she thought she was going cuckoo. still sceptical about it really - but a few of my other sisters have had similar things.

They reckon that little kiddies are in the right state of mind to see spirits and things. Same with cats. And if your child has an imaginary friend its might be a baby your've lost in the past or something.
I was at a funeral for an old lady friend a year or so ago and was sitting beside her 3 year old grandson. While his auntie (old ladies daughter) was saying stuff at the front of the church he suddenly came out asking me "who the man was up there". I couldn't see any men up there, freaky!

Oooh, freaky stuff And Emma - I think it IS your wee angel letting you know she's ok, and that it's ok to move on and not be sad for her anymore.

I looove this sort of stuff - I think because it gives me the chills. Haven't had any experiences myself, but love listening to others. I have noticed though that there are heaps of programmes on telly lately about psychics, forensics etc. and I swear our house makes noises too right after I have watched one of those programmes.
Emma, I certainly agree that it was your wee girl coming to let you know that she is fine and she did it in the only way she could. Wow, that's pretty amazing.
