Topic: SITTING???? Posted: 24 January 2006 at 11:11am |
Was just wondering when everybodys babies starting sitting up by themselves. I'm pretty sure that when Blair was the twins age he was sitting, but Ryan and Katelyn don't even seem close. Ryan just leans forward and his head almost touchs the ground and Katelyn just falls to the side or back, even having pillows beside them doesn't work. They are really happy just lying on the floor playing with there toys and they roll around everywhere. I feel like i'm a first time mum again, am i expecting to much to soon.

In my "observations" at coffee group is that every child is different, Arna was the 3rd one to sit, 2nd to crawl and 1st to walk!! Where the kids are now between 17 - 20 months , the younger ones are just doing things it seems like Arna did ages ago.
So in short every kid is different and I think twins are more happy to play with the other twin then to do the things we want them to do!
Hope they get the hang of sitting soon!!

Maya was around 5-ish mths. The twins ticker hasn't come up so I can't see exactly how old they are, but I know that anywhere between about 4 1/2 mths and 9 mths is considered 'normal'.

I wouldnt even worry about it. Just looking at my twins plunket book and Jaidyn was sitting at 8.5 mths and Keegs at 9mths. In their own time they will do it.

I have a feeling they may crawl before they sit anyway because they both get on all fours and rock backwards and forwards. I'm so not looking forward to that, 2 babies to keep an eye on. Man my life is going to get more and more hectick, oh well i guess that comes with having twins and a 3 yr old.

Joeys favourite thing now is sitting but he can only go for about 5 minutes before he falls over usually. I prop a tri pillow around him in case he falls but he knows to roll onto his tummy if he falls to the side, so cute, lol, oh yeah, he is just over 5 months.
