Have you stopped eating things like peanut butter, Brie, Soft boiled or fried eggs or anything else they say you shouldnt have whilst pregnant?
I brought some peanut butter today as really fancied some and have been told by a friend that I shouldnt have it! Grrrrrrggghhhhh!!

Peanut butter is fine, it's just recommended that you avoid it in third tri if you have a strong family history of allergy.
I have been a bit slack this pregnancy and eaten a few naughty things, but being sick this week was a bit of a wake up call, I think I'll be a bit more careful from now on.

My MW told me to have peanut butter on crackers to help my ms when I had it. I also looked up on the net about the peanut thing and there is no proof that it can cause an allergy.
I was munching out on pistachios today Ive tried not to eat brie and stuff, but I have done..

Brie is fine by the way as long as it's NZ one and eaten the day you open it.
I have actaully been quite bad this time around and eaten all sorts of things I know I shouldn't as I seem to have all the wrong kind of cravings I have indulged in fast food incl chicken, salami and smoked salmon to name a few

I kinda have a theory I'll avoid what they say I should unless I really really want it and then I'll have it! So I wont eat runny eggs unless I'm really craving them on hot buttered vogels or something, I figure its got lessen the chances of getting a bad lot.
Pasturised soft cheese is okay which is nice, I've finally found a french one in our local Tesco that actually states its pasturised, the only one out of shelves and shelves of the bl00dy stuff!!!!
There are still some people that say to avoid peanuts if you have a history of allergies in the family, since DH is super allergic to loads of stuff I'm avoiding them myself but I'm not a huge fan anyway so not a biggie so far.

I have avoided nuts but thats cos my daughter has a nut allergy. Everything else I have been a bit less worried aobut this time - have had some soft cheese, which is ok anyway, and have been eating ham etc if I bought it that day.

Like the others said - nuts are fine unless there is a strong possibility of allergy. I'm loving peanut butter.
Hmmm ... I had bacon the other day (smoked) and a couple of soft-boiled eggs early on in the pregnancy but for most of those restricted items I think it's best to avoid them but you don't need to beat yourself over the head if you do have something like that once or twice. Back in the day people were eating all kinds of things without knowing the effects and plenty of babies turned out fine. In saying that, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
The only thing I would definitely say is avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs and medicines (except those permitted ones) at all costs.

I've been pretty good this time but yeah, as Bee said, not as anal as last pregnancy. Loving the soft cheeses and had some ham (heated up, but not steaming hot), but still avoiding things like runny eggs and pre-prepared salads etc.
I've avoided peanut butter as my doctor said something about it causing asthma, but I'm so thinking of it now, I've been totally craving it!

Mmm i think you have all talked about peanut butter so much i might have some on toast right now!! Like you all say only with cases of allergies should you avoid it and other nut products.
I havent been as 'good' this time around, having kebabs and even a piece of KFC chicken, then i spent the next day wondering if i was feeling ill cause of what i ate....
I ate all the soft cheeses last time but only eat the ones i have bought, and only eating ham steaming hot...the eggs dont bother me to be honest either, i just dont eat free range when preggers...i figure the egg gets so hot it might as well be steaming??
