Topic: Poll for menstrual products Posted: 13 February 2008 at 3:40pm |
OK, so it's not going to me an anonymous poll unfortunately! But it seems as though the number of those using mooncups/diva cups/keepers etc has increased dramatically.
Do you use one? What type?
Full time? Part time? (eg with another product)
If not, would you consider it? or NEVERRRR!!!?
I use a mooncup - full time! Love it!

I have a diva cup, I'm still getting use to using it. Usually if I'm around home I'll use it but otherwise if I know I'm going to be out for the day I'll use tampons. I don't like the idea of emptying it while I'm out.

I'd never heard of them prior to OB, but I'm actually keen to try one when AF returns. I'd imagine that I'd be like Stacey though and use it around home.

Ah, you'll be converted
I don't ever empty it while out! Well... I think I have once when I wanted to check how heavy flow was, and that was at work so all good.
That's the thing I love about it - no need to empty every few hours (unless you are suuuuper heavy)
Right... this wasn't meant to be a conversion thread, just a poll. Sorry!!

I'm planning on using a mooncup once I've had baby and my periods come back. I have some cloth pads/liners already. TBH, after not using tampons in so long (pregnant then didn't get period for 9 months or so after having DD, then pregnant again after two cycles - sorry for the TMI) the thought of using them again really doesn't appeal at all.

hehe... that's my problem. I would love my next two babies close together... and I'm TTC now. I don't want to wait 3 years after buying it to use it!
EDIT: Oh yes - I do already use cloth liners too.

I wouldn't mind trying one but seeing as the periods I get at the moment are so light it just doesn't seem worth the investment.

I don't think there is much of a difference. I think its more a "brand" thing.

I'm waiting to buy some cloth pads (haven't had a proper cycle for 3 months so haven't bought them yet) and will eventually get around to getting a mooncup (little unsure about how it will go though as I've never been able to wear tampons due to a HEAVY flow).
