    Posted: 25 February 2008 at 12:17pm
We're now in a house with a fireplace so I've started stocking up wood for winter but it also means I need to get a fireplace guard.

I don't want something permanent as we're just in a rental and we'll probably be moving again in November. I do want something that will keep Michaela a good distance from the fire. Also, I know I can't put a price on my childs safety but, the less I have to spend the happier I'll be.

Any suggestions?

TradeMe often has good bargains on them.
I've also seen them at the warehouse.

Oh oh oh, we have one but no longer have a fireplace! Let me talk to DH to make sure we have all the bits (it needs reassembling) and if he can assure me we have it all, you can have it! Its nearly brand new!

We can give you ours! Now, I realise you probably don't need it straight away, which is cool. I am trying to figure out the best way to get it to you! Whereabouts do you live? We are in Raumati.

Yay. That's fantastic!!! Thank you.

We're in Tawa so only 25 mins drive away. I can pop out and grab it in a couple of weekends if you don't mind.
