Thanks Leish. Not sure how far along I am yet, I am soo hopeless with remembering when AF is, and it all happened a bit quicker than I thought it would. Hows things in your household going? How is Noah with not being the baby of the household anymore? And I hope you are getting some sleep. Iliana is gorgeous, have had a good nosey on facebook at her piccies.

And thanks too Steph, Hows Lucas? Did I see a comment on facebook that he was having some tests done? Is he ok? I hope so, he is soo gorgeous!

Congrats Hayley!!!

JOsh has another ear infection so we are off to the specialist as soon as we get an appointment. We are going private so hopefully we get grommets before he is 2.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Noah adores his little sister Hailey. Sometimes the love is a bit on the strong side though Like the other day when he was trying to snuggle up under the play gym with her and snuggled a bit too close and sat on her head She wasn't at all bothered about it thankfully. He didn't have any troubles with it at all. He wouldn't come anywhere near her when she was first born but that only lasted a few days. Things are good - a bit hectic at times but generally pretty good. Elle will be such a good big sister. You wait.

Becks for Josh. Good on you for going private.

Nope, used to but then I got taken off her friends list so not anymore.

I am so thankfull for health insurance so I can get these things sorted asap. My work now subsidises it as well so it is a lot cheaper.

BS Blacklisted me too. I see a couple of the March Mummies are still in her good books though lol

Heeey all, how are we doing? Been a while.

Nothing much new here, going to go view places this week ...would be nice to be in our own pad by Xmas but no worries if we have to wait until after.

Lucas is doing okay, off his food atm but tests have come back totally clear(well the bloods have, haven't heard back re: his urine samples but no news is good news supposedly ). So seems he's jut a fusspot, taking this terrible twos/fussy eating thing to a whole new level. Coming up a month since he's eaten a proper meal. He's currently living on 2 breastfeeds and about 5 mouthfuls of food per day, and it's certainly not through lack of trying on my behalf. You should see the food he wastes, obviously this boy isn't aware of all the starving kids in Africa!!!!!!!

Still not saying many words, gets frustrating not being able to understand what it is that he wants sometimes but generally we communicate with each other pretty well.

Went for our first dental appointment the other day, and was reading our Plunket book and noticed under 21-24month check it has a checklist, supposedly he's supposed to be talking sentences and know A LOT of words ...oh dear He loves his books though, can point out anything i ask. Just laziness i guess .....im hoping! Anyone else have a mute?

Otherwise we're all good as gold....Can't wait for Xmas!

Congrats again Hails on the pregnancy, fantastic news. I'm stoked for you!

And Leish I'm LOVING your momentz photos, gorgeous family you have there!

Shaz how are you? Hows Alyssa getting on, still loving DC?

Becks I'm sorry to hear about Josh's ears, hopefully its all sorted soon.

I'm kicking myself for not signing Lucas up for medical insurance sooner. We're on the public waiting list for his man bits (penis to be exact) ,he has a lump (suspect its a cyst that will need to be removed). Could be waiting for up to 6 months ...wondering if its why he's not eating but no one can give me any answers. Plunket & Dr's don't seem to care until it's too late. Anyhooo back to what i was saying - for Lucas' health insurance it's only $9 a MONTH! (this is with him under his own policy, if he was under my name it'd be an extra $43 - how crazy is that?!?!?!)

Anyway I'm really kicking myself for not having had this sorted sooner, since he's already under the public system and its a pre existing condition it won't be covered. But i'd rather be safe than sorry for future reference.

Sorry for the long essay, it's been a while ...too long infact!

Hope everyone is keeping well!

Hi everybody, it's really quiet on here nowadays isn't it.

I guess everybody is getting busy with Xmas coming up fast.

Were really good thanks Steph, Alyssa is doing great she' s like the little sponge and her vocab is growing by the day. I was hanging the washing the other day and asking for coloured pegs and she knows yellow (her favorite colour) blue and red, she's not so good with green and white she just looks all confused and picks up another yellow one and say's "yellow?" . It's really cute. She's not using sentences but starting to put a couple of words together. "Go away" is her favorite.

And Steph, I wouldn't worry to much about Lucas not speaking if he understands most of what you say. My friends little boy hardly spoke until he was four then she couldn't shut him up. (he's now sixteen and very bright). I think he was just waiting until he could say whole sentences.

We have another crazy xmas coming up. My sister is coming from oz again. They have rented a house near the city so we will probably be there or here with all our kids (9 altogether!!) I love it when she comes over it's so nice having them around. I really miss her and the kids. I so wish her DH could get more work here, then maybe they would come home.

Oh and Congtrat Hails thats wonderful news

It is really quiet in our little thread isn't it. I sometimes forget to even check in here to see if anyone has posted.

Thanks Steph - we were really happy with the momentz photos. Good grandparent xmas pressies. Looks like Lucas isn't having any growing problems so he must be getting plenty enough from the little that he is eating to have grown so much in the last couple of months. I agree with Shaz and wouldn't worry too much about his speech. He will get there. I really hope you get somewhere soon with his boy bits.

Christmas sounds like it will be heaps of fun for you Shaz - esp having your family from Aus over. I can't wait till my siblings start having children but that will be a wee way away yet. Alyssa sounds so cute with her talking. Noah likes Go Away too and is learning colours really well at the moment. He seems to like blue and red best and is slowly getting there with green. He calls pink "sister" LOL. How are your older girls?

What are your toddlers getting from Santa this year? We have a bike for Noah and one of those Matchbox space shuttle things. He loves space shuttles and went nuts when he saw it in the shop. He has enough tractors and trucks already. I hope Iliana likes trucks cos that will be what she plays with most of the time LOL

How is it all going Hailey? HOpe you aren't being too sick. Better go - the little Miss is waking up.

Oh Snap Shaz, Lucas' most favourite colour in the world is YELLOW too! He's OBSESSED. Take him shopping and he will grab at anything yellow, will only pass me yellow pegs when hanging out washing too. It all started with my dad's car, he has a yellow Lancer VRX that Lucas absolutely adores. Very into his cars.

Hmm Xmas, we have little people sets and blocks ...a tool bench, table and chair (plastic set), paddling pool, lots of books ...im going to decorate a scrapbook cover with pics of all his fave stuff and then clear duraseal it and start scrapbooking with him (ya know sift through magazines and pull stuff out and glue it in etc). Buy crayons, glue, paints etc.

JOsh is doing really well with his language even with his ear issues. He loves his books and will bring them to anyone to sit and read, he yells out the words when he knows them. All the boys in the books are Andrew and the girls are Holly.

He is loving daycare, has to carry his lunch bag in every moring and packs a good paddy when I take it off him to put it away.

Christmas is almost sorted just have the get the stocking stuff and some clothes (traditional thing to get the kids), but I won't be doing them till the week before xmas.

Can I join too?

Been slowly getting the hang of the forum although havent posted much yet... once I'm comfortable you'll have a hard time shutting me up.

My little one, Isabella, was born on 12/02/2007 and is definitely the best thing thats ever happened to me. She's a stubborn, determined little imp

We've been in NZ for 6 months now but I spend almost all of my time at work. Should we be taking her to Plunket for anything round about now?

Hi Azza and welcome Your little Isabella is a cutie!! I dont think there are any Plunket visits due till the 24 month one so you should be fine. Where are you from?

Noah is doing great. He's at daycare today and went off happily this morning. His excema (sp?) is bad at the moment though. He will be having three whole weeks away from daycare and im interested to see if it improves over that time. We decorated our christmas tree last night and he was really in to it. He seems to be getting in to the Christmas spirit and recognises Santa now.

Christmas shopping is nearly done. We still have Christopher and our parents to shop for but then we are done. We know what the parents are getting but im still really stuck for Christopher. He wants an I Touch but he so isnt getting one.

Iliana gets cuter and cuter every day. She has just started to laugh. Its precious.

Thanks for the welcome and the Plunket info...
We've moved here from South Africa and are loving NZ - what a fantastic country to live in!

How are you finding the age gap between your younger two?

I think its a good age gap to have. Noah isn't so independant that he takes off when I have to feed Iliana - he stays close by which is awesome. He likes being at home and he still has a long middle of the day nap so I get a bit of a rest from them both but in saying that, Noah is still in part time daycare three days a week. I am starting to feel like I could have him home with us more though.

I would love to visit South Africa. I have heard it is a beautiful country to visit. NZ is a beautiful place to live though

Welcome AzzaNZ I agree that NZ is a beautiful country to live in, not that I've ever left NZ or traveled but all the same

Well, good news here....we got our first house! Tis out in past Pukekohe (in Auckland for those out of towners) ...2 very generous sized bedrooms, huge open plan living/dining area, new kitchen (it is TO DIE FOR), internal garaging etc. Fenced off back section however it is all concrete ...we've had a few run ins with the concrete lately, so he won't be going out there for a wee while just yet. Haven't decided on moving date yet, need to get everything sorted with WINZ and earliest appt we could get was monday. So shall know soon enough but yay, im so excited ....nervous and scared at the same time eek!

Hope everyone is well, sorry for the mini essay here.

Anyone elses wee tikes had a blood nose yet? We had our first tonight (surprisingly, he's managed to knock his nose so often without so much as a scrape) ...oh it wasn't pretty. Teaches him for not listening and jumping on my bed every chance he gets (he whacked his nose on the head board, poor thing ...can't wait till I can close the door to my room and finally have my own space ....ahhh
