Topic: A Must Read for all Women Posted: 02 March 2008 at 5:54pm |
BIRTH A history, Tina Cassidy.
OMG... I have just finished reading this book (thanks emma) and it is fabulous!!!!
The author is witty but certainly doesnt make light of childbirth or the awful history of some aspects of it.
She covers the history of c sections, tools used in childbirth, midwives and doctors, pain relief and the postpartum period, among others. It has facts and stories and even tho it is a sometimes gruesome journey it is very informative and certainly made me at least understand the history behind the process of giving birth a bit more.
Highly recommend this book...
