I love that dance show, I'd love to be able to dance like they do, so was wondering if anyone on here has got some smooth dance skills!!

I did Jazz Ballet when I was a child, but never pursued it. I loved doing the dance shows once a term, but otherwise I hated going to practice!

Tell us what dance talents you have - tap/hip hop/ballet/ballroom etc .

I'm at silver medal level in ballroom and latin and went up to advanced in American Jazz (under Candy Lane's teaching as it happens!)

Have also done some ballet and New Vogue.

I love dancing and love watching those shows!!

I was put off after being told I was too fat for ballet.
I use the excuse "white men can't jump, white chicks can't dance"
I do love watching the shows!

I love those shows too!
I got to advanced level in jazz and did some tap and ballet too. Loved dancing in shows and musicals! Because I can't sing for peanuts dancing was the only way I could be part of them. Wish I was as good as the dancers on those shows.

LOL Shorty, this white chick can't dance either, or sing...
Thankfully my kids seem to have inherited their dad's musical talent, those Maori's know how to sing!

I get jiggy with it sometimes. Definitely not wonderful at it either.

I love the show. I wonder what happened to the NZ winner... she was awesome.

I love the contemporary dancing, I was gutted that Cassie left, I thought she was amazing.

DH and I love the show too! Didn't realise there's an NZ one in the pipeline already...

and, since we're confessing it anyway, no I can't dance! Well, I did ballet when I was little, and I can move around to the music okay, and I can waltz, and manage the foxtrot if I have a good partner who leads strongly!

The NZ one was on 2 years ago. The girl who won was actually a staff member on the show. He mates convinced her to audition. She did and she won.

I'm an awful dancer! I have no rhythm and I can't sing either.
Sad really because I love music!

I have social silver ballroom & latin awards but my fav is Ceroc, it's so much fun and you can pretty much use any music.

I did a beginners class in ballroom and latin and I LOVED it, I would love to do it again. Can't dance in clubs though...DP can. Apparently I don't move my hips enough heheh

ETA: We both love watching the show too...it's amazing what they can do.

I lurve them too.

I did ballet from 6 to 18, as well as contemporary for a year when I was 17.

I haven't done any dancing since but rang up a ballet school the other day to ask about adult classes! eeeeeek! I might start when Hannah does... there is a school just down the road. Yay.

Wow some of your girls have got some real good dance talents there! And Pole Dancing with your clothes on?! Good stuff, sounds like hard work there, would work all your muscles, especially those arms!

I wished I did have some certs to show I can dance, as I'd love that talent up my sleeve, but alas I didn't stick to it. I think I'll start going to the body jam classes at the gym though, that would be lots of fun!!
