They are on special at Toyworld at the moment and I was wondering if they are any good. Has anybody got one and what are your thoughts?

I bought DS one for Christmas - he's definitely a bit young at the moment, but I hope to gets lots of use out of it once he's a bit older and doesn't just want to try and screw up the pages! I've bought pretty much all the books for it too - I think they're great.

We got Josiah one for his first birthday... he didn't really get into it until he was about 20 months old (could be linked to his poor vision though, by the time he started enjoying it he'd had glasses for a couple of months) but he loves it now. Xavier's just starting to play with it too (he's nearly 16 months old).

We had one for Maya, she was probably already a bit old for it when we got it (nearly 3) but she enjoyed it and the gremlins like bashing around on it now, they don't really know how it works yet but the nanny sits with them and goes thru the pages and they like the music.

It was something i had to have for Rhyley as he loves books so got my mum and dad to give it as a birthday pressie - and so far hes not interested in it at all. I think he is possibly a bit too young to apreiate it and although he will sit on our knee and listen to us read hes not interested in listen to the leap pad 'person' read it. I am sure when hes a bit older though he will get into it (heres hoping)
