Why, pray tell, would a staff member interrupt me when I am extremely busy, to ask me if she should do something and then, when I say yes, do it, marvellous idea, she sits there and argues why she shouldn't?

Why interrupt me in the first place?!

OK. Rant over. Back to work

What a nutter!!! Was she just wanting to argue the point? I wonder if she would have argued abut why she should do it if you'd told her not to.

GandT - you got it in one! (and hurry up baby GandT!!)

The_Stuarts - that's exactly what would have happened. She's an argue-for-the-sake-of-it-type which is extremely frustrating.

My boss told her off a few weeks ago because she was constantly being late to work - and she argued with him while he was telling her off!

Hmmm, not very smart is she? This could be listed in the "how not to get a payrise" section of "working: for dummies"
