Ok so I went to my normal hairdressers to get the usually haircut. BUT I had a different girl from the usual. I aways ask for the same thing as I'm happy with that for now.
My request
"Up to my shoulders with a few layers and some shape around the front but no fringe"
The result
Almost up to my chin !!!! and not much layering around the front.
The cut was done wet and she was really quick then dried it a little which I didn't mind because I like to dry it how I like to dry it IYKWIM. Anyway I got home and really looked OMG it is so short and I hate it .

What are my rights as far as at least getting the front shaped etc, they can't glue back on the length. BUT I want the front fixed, but I don't want that woman to touch my hair again

To make matters worse this was done last Wednesday before I left to go away for the weekend (we left early Thursday) and I am going back to work in a few weeks.....and I have a wedding to go to on the 29th. All while I look really odd.

Big hugs Shaz!

I would definitely make them fix the front at least. From memory Kazzle had a similar situation a while back and made them fix it as best they could.

Yep go back. Tell them it wasn't what you asked for and you want it corrected as best they can.

I'd go back and get them to fix it - it's not something you can just put up with

I remember getting the WORST haircut I've ever ever had, at this place in Waihi when I first came back from the UK. I had 5 weddings to go to over 5 weekends in a row, and I went into this place that looked really nice, and the staff had nice cuts etc, so thought it would be ok.

OMG, how wrong was I    As soon as I sat down, I told her what I wanted - a haircut like Gwyneth Paltrow had in that movie "sliding doors". Cool she sez. Yeah, not cool.... She cut it so short it was about 2 inches all over my head. Except for my fringe. Which was long, and swept to the side. It was totally horrendous. I ended up getting her to cut the fringe off so I pretty much looked like I'd had my head shaved.

I'm the one wearing the hat in all the wedding pics that year

edited to say: that sucks shaz!! get her to fix it immediately!!

for you  get them too fix it.

i had my hair cut for a wedding in january and i went to my normal place but it was a different woman firstly when she washed my hair she put water all down my back then my normal hairdresser had been trying to get me to get a concave bob (victoria beckham) but i just wanted a trim, so this time i went in and wanted to try a bob but instead she took off about an inch the while way round and it didn't look much different ( didn't have that just cut feeling)

going back next thurs to have a pixie crop (see rhianna's lastest do) so we'll see.

I've "taken a haircut back" before. It was a Just Cuts (I know, I'm so classy )but it was longer on one side!! So I went back and they evened it us, they weren't terribly friendly about it, but it got done in the end.

oh poor you, I got a bad cut when I was a teenager and didn't get my hair cut for almost a year - or maybe longer cos I was scared of what they would do to it!
I would go back and talk to your regular hairdresser if you feel uncomfortable approaching the other and complain that way!

I am sure you can ask for them to correct it as best as can for FREE. Also you could ask for your money back - not sure they have to though. worth asking though.

Oh god. You should see my hair at the moment!!

I made the mistake of being flippant about my hair and agreeing that I needed a more funky haircut. Now I have some crazy asymmetrical bullsh*t which is terribly short on one side and long on the other!!!! Argh!!

I got home and chopped most of the long side off. hehe
