Appears to be working its magic **touch wood** ...usually bub wakes several times of a night, so far just a bit of stirring but managed to self settle! Our first night using a sleeping bag ......

Thank you to all who suggested this idea, fingers crossed its fullproof LOL

btw if sleeping bag does trick go Baby factory and buy some footed PJS - HUGE range just out (Leish left some at botany store) and try those...then it doesnt matter if no blanket etc...

we had some from USA last year and got more sent over this year...worked a treat - ella was always warm but not restricted (which can be case of sleeping bags) - I LOVE footed warm pjs - they make adult sizes too but im too chicken to wear them!

Those footed PJ's are awesome! I got a pair of them for Daniel but he hates having his feet confined during sleep (yes, weird child). If I put socks on him and put him in bed he won't settle until they are removed, same for footed pants.

Lol kids are so strange sometimes.

Well the sleeping bag seemed to do the trick TO BEGIN WITH! But as we got further through the night he started tossing and turning and VERY frustrated that he couldn't roll onto his tummy to sleep. I ended up taking it off him in the early hours of the morning & let him sleep next to me for the remainder of the night.

*sigh* I'm sick at the moment (tonsilitis, cold/flu ...you name it) ..doesn't it just suck having to get up several times a night to bub when all you wanna do is sleep it off?

That's why i put him in the bed next to me with my boob hanging out, that way he could help himself without waking me LOL

I would give it another go with the sleeping bag- he should be able to roll and do everything else in it he normally would, it might just take him a while to get used to it. Are you using it for his day sleeps as well?
