Topic: New style Tweedles Posted: 13 March 2008 at 10:04am |
I noticed a last week that Tweedle have a new style pocket. I think it's an improved version of the one they used to sell and I wondered if anyone had tried it?

I think they are basically the same but with the extra snap to fix the wing droop issue so I'd imagine they would perform as well as the old style ones.

Nope, the old ones annoyed me a bit too much to want to try the new ones.. though they are better now that I am stuffing them with my thicker/less absorbant prefolds instead of m/fibre, as they close up on the 2nd from smallest instead of the smallest setting. But then I've got plenty of naps now, so it's a "really really want this" thing when I buy one, not a "need this".

Mine never had the wing droop issue for aaaaaages and then one day they just started doing it. Still annoys the crap outta me when they are on but then having an extra snap to do up on a wriggly baby is just as annoying lol

I had the wing droop for a while and then stopped using them for a few months and now the are fine again. Wonder if you can ask for them to not have that extra snap.

I actually don't mind an extra snap. I have 2 HCs and they've never cause me any problem. What I do think is odd is how the Tweedle snaps sit right underneath each other. How does that work if you have a baby with chubby thighs and a small wasit? Or does the fabric just stretch?

Daniel has chubby thighs and little waist. It usually ends up being loose around the waist a bit but fine in the thighs or slightly too tight in the thighs but fine in the waist.
Maybe that's what causes the wing droop issue??? *ponders*

Seb is pretty even when it comes to thigh/waist ratio, though he is small for his age, and we had the wing-droop problems until I made his pockets bulkier (and fitting on a larger setting) I quite like the print one we have now that that's fixed, but still not my favourite, and they're bulky of course now! The plain PUL is pretty
