It seems like she is getting the idea of what she is meant to be doing on the toilet, which is great! Ella is the same age as your daughter and she will sometimes come to me now when she has done poos and tell me.. she has done a poo and wee on the potty once each but has shown no more interest since then.
I wouldn't worry or push her, I think in a month or two they will start to let us know before they have done poos/wees. this is just the beginning :)

I think Maya was about 20 mths when she started showing an interest in the toilet. My Plunket nurse told me that she would be ready to TT when she could take her own nappy off and sit on the toilet. I remember thinking "Yeah right, like she'll ever do that!" and lo and behold a few weeks later she did.
We did the 'cold turkey' thing - was a bit messy to start with, but she was fully day TT by 22 mths.
All kids are different tho - some TT themselves really young and others don't get out of nappies till they are closer to 3. It's all normal, just variations.
And Maya is still in a night nappy whereas a lot of her friends that TT'ed later have got the night thing sussed as well.

well jake can take off his own nappy!! but is far from sitting on the toilet. he has two pottys, one is being used as a hat (hope that stops...i forsee probelms) and the other plays "it's a small world" when you "flush". so jake stands in it, pushes the button and dances.....long way from training i think.
good like with briana!!! sorry, no advice!

Kobe has two potties aswell but are you best to go straight to the toilet and or give them the option? He has done poos in his pottie but only after I noticed he was straining (nappies off time) and got him ot the pottie in time but he almost freaked out that his pottie was dirty and I had to keep telling him thats whats its for. Does any one know what age you teach boys to pee standing up?

I know this is completely off the topic but my 2yr old is completely potty during the day and is learning to use the "big toilet". anyway when we were training her we always made such a big fuss about how clever she was using the potty now whenever she goes poos she sits there and calls out at the top of her voice "I'm going poos mummy, I'm going poos daddy!" It was cute the first time but now it's just embarrassing when we have guests or are at public toilets!

Sorry, Hellen, but it takes ages to convince them not to! Kiya still does that on occasion - we're just glad she's started closing the toilet door now!
