Ok, its probably a part of the grieving process but I am so confused as to what is happening. I am in information junkie and possibly have been reading too much. I need it all simplified as the various descriptions of complete miscarriage, incomplete, missed etc all start to blend in together.

Also, if my GP did an internal, would she have checked that my cervix was open or closed? SHe did swabs and I know she felt around to see if I had more pain on one side or the other in case it was ectopic but she didnt mention anything about my cervix.

Stupid me didnt ask enough questions and I cant see her again till tomorrow and I know I will feel like I am wasting her time.

But I need to know this is 100% over!

Stop using google and wait until you see your doc, she will tell you everything you need to know and she will not think you are wasting her time.
My doc never did an internal with me but perhaps that is because I had had a scan before it happened, he did check my abdomen though to see if I had pain worse on one side.
Perhaps ask for a scan so that you can have some closure.

Yep, I think I need to stop with google (I tend to only read the ones I want to as well...not a good literature reviewer am I).

I try to tell myself that it is over (and if it isnt..well bonus) but honestly I thought I was dealing better.

Man this sucks!!!!

I went through the same thing cos when my bleeding stopped I still felt pregnant, I also googled all the things that you mentioned which really started doing my head in, but after a few days my symptoms went away and it was a bit easier to accept. (well actually i'm not sure that I have accepted it yet but you get what I mean).

Its ok to let it affect you, there are no medals for toughing it out and there is no right way of dealing with it.

I haven't had an internal at all and mine is a far more complicated mc than most.

Google is evil - leave it alone! lol

Ask for bloods when you see your doc, that is the best way of knowing what it happening. Your hormone levels will tell you for sure what is going on.

I also read in your other post that you are concerned about not bleeding tons. I didn't either. I went through 4 pads a day but only for a couple of days and I only changed them because I went to the loo so figured I should. This was what I considered heavy but it wasnt really (I just have light periods so it was heavy for me)

Yeah, I need to bring out my logical matter of fact hat. Seems to have gone missing and been replaced with teary hormonal hat. Bugger hormones!!!!!

I have a friend who MC the night before my bleeding started so we have been comparing notes and she has had a shocker. Huge clots, excessive bleeding, hospitilisation etc. DH's ex also MC'd and he is confused by my lack of "drama". My AFs are definately worse than this. Perhaps I'm just "lucky".

I think I have to stop thinking "maybe its all going to be ok" and accept that it has happened, life sucks sometimes and move on......"suck it up princess" so to speak.

Going to see Doc tomorrow so I will ask for blood tests.

Just a thought. Can you ring the docs and ask for the blood referal form thing today? And get the first lot done today? That would speed things up by a day (which is very very good, waiting sucks ass!). Because you would need to get 2 lots of bloods done anyway to see what those nasty hormones are doing to ya. My docs are always fine about this type thing because you don't need to see a doc for that part, they only need to sign the form, and the nurse fills it in (or at least that happens for me)

Good idea Stacey, you should be able to get your doc to fax a form to the lab Nikki and then your doc will have more of an idea tomorrow.

I had an internal at the hospital to check my cervix but I'd been bleeding for 3 days by then and my hCG levels were dropping, My cervix was open at that point so m/c was inevitable and I ended up opting for the d and c to get it over with (and coz my BP had dropped so low from the heavy bleeding).

I certainly don't think you need to suck it up tho! This is an awful thing you are going thru, if you want to be a Princess, then be a princess! You're perfectly entitled to!

Great idea guys. I just rang medical centre but they dont know their arses from who knows what. A nurse is going to ring me back. I was pretty disappointed with the medical centre as a whole. When I did my first PG test I got comments like "was it planned?" However the GP's first comment when I saw her was "6 weeks, huh? Cool!"....I like her.

dont worry chick - I did exactly the same when I had my m/c. It's natural to want answers but as my DH says, the internet can be evil and make you have more questions than you actually had to start with!

just waiting on bloods as we speak. My MW called me last night and she agrees with the need to follow up on what seems to be a very inconclusive MC. She even mentioned scans etc. I am just pleased that someone is taking me seriously about needing to KNOW its all over...and wanting proof.
