Just got the note from the accountant - 2007 tax is due and is gonna make us broke!! We haven't really thought about it too much - and have revolving credit mortgage - but this will impact!! Bugger it all!!
Time to tighten the belt a little...

Make sure you get them to double check it, I've heard of accountants recently "stuffing" up peoples tax etc. You are still going to be coming down though eh??????

Me have to pay some tax too, although being self-employed I knew it was coming up, still sucky though.

I don't mind the tax man so much, I pay a sucky 25% withholding tax all year but it means when I claim back expenses on my IR56 I end up getting a nice refund

We got one too. We paid the provisional one, then got a big bill for something else? 2nd year of business? Sommat?? pass. Anyhow it was nearly $4k, cleaned out the rainy day money. BLERK
We do put aside monthly for the end of year and the monthly gst, but we had forgotten about this other one. And accountant forgot to remind us. Suck.

I'm looking forward to the tax man visiting this year - they owe us heaps as I over estimated our WWF (on purpose ).
But ouch $4K bill from them.
But on a note I can't get hold of them on the phone to sort out 08/09's WFF as we will be getting a bit more money this year. And to make it worse my neighbour works in the call centre and she isn't allowed to do it for me stupid IRD.

Ugh Ann, Willie got his assessment today and his paying parent child support for DSD is going up by some ridiculous amount.
