Hi
Just wondering

1) How many solid meals did your baby have at 6.5months a day?

2) How much would they eat at each meal?

3) how many bottles and how many mls

Because Cooper has been so blah about solids he was only having dinner.
Now I've just introduced lunch.
He needs his morning bottle, so I won't be introducing breakfast for awhile yet.

2) How much would they eat at each meal?
I don't make meals, don't have the time or energy.

Lunch - yesterday he has a whole tin.
Dinner - he eats 1/2 can plus 100ml bottle of water.

2, sometimes 3. He wasn't very keen on breakfast. I'd offer, if he wanted it he would have it, if he clamped his mouth shut or made a fuss I left it.

2) How much would they eat at each meal?
He went through stages of being fussy and not wanting much if anything but usually about 1/2 a jar - 1 jar if we were really lucky. Plus we introduced finger foods.

2 meals, breakfast and dinner. Veges for both,..at this age it was still tins. 3/4 to One tin each meal. Started making my own once she was having 3 tins a day and it was costing too much $$! Isla would still be having 10 bottles a day now if we let her. Recommeneded is 5 x 200ml bottles I think.

Spencer was on 2 meals then, lunch and dinner, it wasn't until around 7 months that he was interested in breakfast. He would have 3 ice cubes worth of diff veges/fruit/meat and slowly progressed to 4 and is now on 5 plus finger foods.

Bottles he had 5-6 a day, I would make up 180ml but he wouldn't always drink it all, now he is on 4. His milk dropped quite drastically when I swapped to giving solids first at around 8.5 months.

HI simone

Thinking back to when Luke was that age it's about teh same as what NZpiper said. I progressed to 3 meals so that by 7 months he was eating dinner too.
So wake up - BF
Breakfast
10 or 11am BF
Lunch
2 or 3 BF
Dinner
BF

I think at seven or 7.5 months I added morning and afternoon tea of finger food so fruit for morning tea, like banana, or rusk or cruskit with lots of marmite! (the best cracker!)

I know some of my friends didn't offer the morning and afternoon teas to much later but i felt Luke was ready for finger food then actually perfers it.

I think it's at 8 months were food is before milk can't remember!!

HHmm interesting, as per usual T likes to be like his big friend Luke, he LOVES finger food well marmite on toast/cruskit he is even trying to feed himself with the spoon and gets it in his mouth! So i think he will be a finger food kid too, just a bit too young yet

Seems like T is doing similar to everyone so thats good, thats a relief! I dont want to overfeed him!

More importantly HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKIE!!!!!!!! I cant believe its a whole year!

that is interesting Milo, I have been wondering about introducing morning and afternoon tea as Tom seems to eat so much at his meals.

Thanks everyone!

Also do you have a set pattern for veges at lunch, fruit or custard for dinner that kind of thing? I have noticed some people having a routine

1) How many solid meals did your baby have at 6.5months a day?
One (started at 6 months)

2) How much would they eat at each meal?
From memory, around 2-4 cubes (all food was homemade)

3) how many bottles and how many mls
breastfed

Now I do all 3

breaakfast - cereal and vege (as she won't eat fruit)
Lunch - either veges or finger food (bread and marmite, carrot/celery/courgette sticks)
Snack- only on days she needs it, will be finger food
Dinner - meat and veges.

i don't do custard or anything like that as I am avoiding dairy and wheat.
