and it makes no sense at all to me!! I'm on Day 33, no AF yet, temps give no indictation of when or if I ovulated - they are all over the show! and as for the CM thing thats a whole different ball game! I'm still trying to figure out the differences! I have been on the pill since I was 16 so can't remember what my cycles were like. I guess it makes more sense once you have done it a while???

Yes, it will definitely make more sense after you had charted a few cycles. My first cycle off the pill was really long and I didn't ovulate until Day 40 but every since I have ovulated around Day 14.

Good luck.

Back when I was charting, my first month or two were all over the place until I settled into the routine, then things started to make sense. Even small details, like a half hour difference in taking your temp, can make a big impact on your chart (that's what I found anyway). As for CM, sometimes I get confused too - again it comes with familiarity and practice.

What sort of thermomiter are you using? Where did you get it? My first month i used one that wasn't any good and my temps were all over the place.
It took a couple of months to start having a really good idea how the chart works.

It's a digital to two decimal places, eg 36.65
I brought it off baby4you.co.nz so hopefully should be okay?

I had one of those my first month then brought the one Bellababysmum recommended. If you look at my charts in the charting thread you can see the Jan one is all over the place then with the new therm the next two months are much better.
