Topic: Themed 30th Birthday Posted: 17 April 2008 at 8:55am |
|
I need some ideas for my 30th birthday in June, thinking of having a dress up do, any suggestions on what theme?
I was thinking of having an "A" party. Everyone dress up with something beginning of the letter A.
Any other suggestions?

Hmmm, A 60's theme. Or now this would be funny, guys dress as girls and girls as guys! Or black and white party..

A 70's party, come as your idol, Hollywood party - that would be cool then you could really do up your place with red carpet (im sure you could hire some somewhere or maybe someone has a red rug you could borrow), cowboys and indians, gangsters, Casino Royal, Pirates umm thats all I can think of at the moment.
We are thinking of doing this for DH's 30th this year too!

How about a "favourite decade" party?
Do you have any links to a particular country? A friend of mine from SA had an african themed party.

The best theme I have heard lately is a Rubix cube party. You have to go wearing an item of clothing of each of the 6 different colours and leave the party wearing 6 items of the same colour!!! Could get a little bit interesting!! If you want to play it safe you can just pin colured pieces of material to your clothes!!!
I am thinking I want to have an eighties themed party but I have to wait til Nov next year!! I love themed parties.
Good luck with deciding.

my friend is turning 30 soon and having a dress up party. Dress up as a child or something you wanted to be when you were young.
mmmm.... not sure about that might go as ???
If i was having having a dress up an 80's theme would be my pick!!

Can't have an 80's party as my DH and his best friend had a combined 30th 80's party last year and that was a crack up!
Have some great ideas now, so will have a think.

We had mates that when she turned 30 she hired out lollipop playland for the evening and had a party there, no alcohol of course but had a blast anyway.
For our xmas do we had a singstar party, someone had a playstation, a few of us had different singstar games and we hired out more, and everyone had to come as their favourite singer.. and of course, do singstar... they never think they will, but once there's a few drinks in them.. they do it

opposite party is so funny too, especially if you make it an opposites celebrity type thing.. ie dress as your fav celebrity that's opposite sex to you.

Have the theme as the year you were born! 1978 You can play all the music 'hits' of that year- see what movies came out- the top TV programmes etc. I'm thinking of doing the same thing for mine (a 1981 party!).
