Has anyone flown to Oz with them?? What are they like with children??
I have found some flights for $819 return for me and the boys and I think that price is damn good but I want to know how good they are. I haven't heard all too many good things about them as they lost my sisters bag at xmas

I have a friend who works for Virgin international out of the uk (same people) and she says they are one of the "top" airlines. She works 1st class and has met all the clebs, you wouldn't believe.

I've never flown them here to Oz but have flown Virgin Blue from the GC to Sydney a few times and they've always been OK.

We flew just recently with Ashlee to Oz, and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service we received. Big thumbs up! We kept mainly to ourselves, but when we needed bottles/meals heated for Ash, they were more than accommodating. They seat all the kids on first at the back of the plane. Ashlee loved it because there were kids she could talk to over the back of our seats.
On the way over, we were lucky enough to get an extra seat so she could stretch out and play (thank goodness!). On the way back, the plane was fuller, and we thought we'd get an extra seat until a man came and sat in his seat. By pure chance, Ashlee must've bugged him because he saw someone he knew further up in the plane and went to sit with him and didn't come back! So we ended up with a 3rd seat again.
The only gripe I have is with Brisbane Airport. We had NO idea where the oversized items were when we got to Brisbane to get the stroller! It was much, much better coming into Wgtn airport as the stroller was right there when we came off the plane, basically!

I also flew with them to Wellington and totally rated them. They try to make sure you ahve a seat for the non paying child if at all possible which was awesome.

We have flown with them on various occasions from Chch to Brissy and also once from Brissy to Sydney. On all occasions I have found them to be really good. Having said that, we dont have children so not too sure how they are in that respect. But when I flew with my wedding dress from Chch to Brissy they were more than accommodating.
Only one gripe is that they ran out of the dinner I was wanting before they got to me, but apart from that I recommend them.

How did you go with your flights becks?
We have booked our tickets with Pacific Blue to go to Sydney at Christmas. This will be our first flight with Miss Hayley, so will be interesting to see how it all goes!

Tammy, they were great. We had one Cabin crew person fly over and back with us and I have jsut emailed them to tell them how great she was.
They booked the whole row of seats out for me well before I checked in (so I all I had to do was just give them my bags) both times.
My only 1 problem was at Brisbane airport they mad me check my stroller for Josh when we checked in (and I wasn't happy).

Sounds like great service!
Mum has got a pram for us to use in Oz and a car seat etc so I'm just going to use the baby Bjorn while we are at both airports.
It was $700 cheaper for us to fly with PB. Granted we are flying from Auckland not Hamilton, but still...$700 is a big savings!
