Topic: HELP!!!! Posted: 23 April 2008 at 6:42pm |
Ok, I need some help here.
Went off the pill about 5 weeks ago. No charting as yet as I hadn't had a real AF.
So, about a week ago my boobs get sore, I can't stand most smells and am sick as a dog all mornings and most arvos. Neg Preg test. Tested again on Mon and got a faint positive. Then, got a negative on Tues and a very faint positive this morning (I was in Chch for work so no Doc).
Now i'm bleeding just like a normal AF. This would be my first AF and came at the due time.
What does this mean??????? I have an app at the doc tomorrow but I doubt she can tell me anymore without bloods which i'll have to wait for.
Can you have a normal period while pregnant and not loose the baby????????

I forgot to mention the nausea is getting worse, I can't stand coffee or anything creamy. My boobs are in agony and I feel really weird. I have this strange feeling i've never had before.

Some women have normal bleeding for months, even the entire pregnancy Danaj, and have happy, healthy babies. How do you think these stories come out about women who didn't know they were pregnant?
All the best!

Thanks Ginger. I don't mean to stress or freak out about it but having a positive test was a first for me and was scary enough. Then to start bleeding was frightening.
I have to admit i'm really worried. I'll see what the doc says tomorrow.
Fingers crossed!

There are lots of mums on here who have had bleeding during pregnancy, but I can understand your fear too - especially early on! The doc will probably send you for bloods which hopefully, will lay your mind at rest that all is ok.

Thanks Guys. Bit scary to say the least.
I'm supposed to be flying to Akl this weekend to see my uncle who is about to pass due to cancer. A good friend told me not to fly considering my potential problem. Any opinions on this?

cant see why flying would be a prob. If you are preg they only stop you at 8 months.

I agree flying shouldnt be an issue. In regards to the erratic pregnancy test results were they all FMU and the same brand of test?

Well, looks like I've had a m/c. Doc thinks I was about 4-6 weeks which means I've been pregnant since before I joined this group. Who would have thought.
His theory is that after so long on the pill, my ovaries were ready but my uterus just wasn't up to the task yet. He also said that some specialists will tell me to wait, and some will say just to go for it.
I've never been more determined than now. I'm amazed at how hurt I am considering I only found out a few days before this happened. And i'm really angry. Poor DH is pretty cut up but he's putting on the brave face for my benefit.
