Well I have finally done it - one of the many things a mum is terrified of doing. Had to head to the bank and didnt get to town until about 10 past four. Was in such a rush that I locked my keys in the car - with the boys!!!!! So i tried to get Jaidyn to unlock his door as he can reach it but to no avail. Stopped some passerbys and the lady ran over to the garage to get something.
All I could think was OMG it took 3 hours and numerous to people to try it. Anyway the guy from the garage popped it open in less than 30 seconds so yay. But talk about my heart dropping when I realised what I had done. Then I felt stink as at one of the main intersections and there was heaps of traffic.
I do have a spare at home but my ph was in the car which I couldnt leave but I think I will get the spare tied to the car somehow like my friend does. What a day
Gotta love fridays lol
Anyone else done anything like this? A lady did stop and tell me it had happened to her thou lol

Acutally that happened to my sister-in-law. She jumped out to go to the bank and the car locked itself with her daughter inside. Poor baby was crying like crazy because she could see mum just couldn't get to her!! Horrbile thing but it does happen.. you are not the only one

happened to me when Alyssa was really little. Luckily she was asleep, and then when she did wake up i rocked the car. Took about 15 minutes for the AA to arrive. Very stressful time. So can totally understand where you are coming from.
You think i would have learned my lesson, but when i was pregnant with Jayde i locked the keys in the car several times, Luckily i had always gotten Alyssa out.

mum did that today - not in the car but at home, she went out to put a nappy in the bin, and bailey crawled up the hallway and pushed the door closed with the dead lock on!!! luckily my big sis arrived a few mins later and managed to get thru one of the very top windows! scary stuff, a kid in a house alone, lucky mum had a few of the hallway doors closed so he only had access to the lounge, kitchen and hallway.
both mike and i have a spare car key and also a spare house key - mike keeps his in his wallet which is constantly in his pocket so if we lock keys in the car (or keys in the house like i did one day.. don't ask lolol) then we can always get back in.

Touch wood have never locked Maya in the car, but have definitely locked the keys in. Was a little concerned at how quickly the AA guy managed to get into my car tho!
