I so hate my endo so much.
AF arrived on Friday and ever since then I have been in pain (as in needing to take drugs every 4 hours) since then. And as its on my bowels I am almost living in the bathroom  . It is such an evil thing that I really wouldn't wish on anyone.
I also wish I was 30 so I could say to my gyne just rip it all out I don't want it anymore. but I have a feeling that when I do finally have my hystorectomy I will need to have a bowel surgeon there too so that bits of my bowels can be taken out as its all over my bowels as well.
I do want a 3rd child, but I don't want a girl and i'm getting sick of people saying that I only want to have 3rd child is to have a girl - I don't I don't want to put a child of mine through all of this too.
So who's with me and hating endo???

Me. Have AF again now - 8 days between the end of the last one and the start of this one. Fun. I'm a cow, I get highly emotional, I take industrial strength painkillers and people have learnt not to peeve me off. DF just stays away from me. And I haven't even started the family yet  and won't even start TTC until the end of the year.
On top of that I was supposed to have another smear on Wednesday because there's confusion with my results from 6 months ago. I don't want to be going through that again.

 my heart really goes out to your both!
I'm now almost 2 months post-op and I feel like a totally different person! I finally have quality of life, rather than living in pain from AF to ovulation and back to AF again 
Minik8e - my gnae told me that I would be extra fertile after the endo was removed, maybe that could be in your pre-TTC plan?

I was very fertile after having it removed the first time. I got pregnant 2 months after the surgery.
I would like to have another lap but my gyne doesn't want to go in again until he rips it all out. However he has said that he will do it if in September I am still in pain. I'll be in Oz then so may look at getting it done in June when I am here.

When we start TTC I have to go back to the doc and make a "plan". So it will most definitely be discussed. I am mainly seriously peeved that it is a whole 8 days between the end of one and start of this one. It's just crap, sorry for my language. In saying that, this one isn't as bad as the last two, for which I am truly, truly grateful because I basically wanted to curl into a ball and disappear (or get everything chopped and to heck with kids).

I know the feeling Kate, when I was put on the pill I bled the whole time but I was pain free so i'm weighing up what i'm going to do and I may put up with the bleeding so I don't have the pain.
I am so hanging out to get it chopped out. I already have my gynes blessing to do it he knows how much it has runied my life.

I'm quite lucky that my doc gave me a script for 3 months worth of painkillers when I went a couple of weeks ago...she rocks lol

Lol my dr is the same., whenever I see him for one of the boys he always ask me if I have enough or do I need anything. I have a good stash  . But a good thing when we move to Waiouru Nigel will get them for us from the Army!!!

I will join this club! Last night I was in so much pain I couldn't sit down Not to mention the break through bleeding at odd times of the month Thank god for Tramadol is all I can say!!

Ohhhh that would be so good!! Actually work is really good, and give us $200 a year for wellness (doc visits, prescriptions, gym fees, sneakers..anything to help with health) and I pay and claim it back which isn't so bad...but it's been over $200 so far this year

I'm with ya's. I'm not only over endo, I'm totally freaked out at times too. My specialist apmt is finally coming up next week!!! For which I am grateful but I know it's probably only the half-way mark. I've just had my first really, really painful AF since my doctor suggested endo last year. My worst times are actually with Ov, which I think is today. I'm only allowed 6 nurofen in 24 hours so I'm saving one for bedtime, that's how bad it's been for me today. I told the Nurse who did my B12 injection that she couldn't possibly hurt me after the constant pain I've had all day (I'm talking 6-7/10 on the pain scale for all of today since I woke).
I've also had my first mid-cycle spotting, it totally freaked me out. I think one of my ovaries is stuck to... something... because it jars and pulls at times, when I'm walking or lying on my side.
Argh
Hopefully we have successful BD this month (no pill) and I can have an easier op waiting time.....

I don't have endo , so i hope you don't mind me gate crashing the thread, my bestfriend however was diagnosed a few months ago.
Im kinda on here on her behalf (she doesnt have internet access) see the thing is, she has endo-but we dont really know what that means? can someone explain it in basic terms?
also , is it normal to put on weight? shes always been a size 8,except when she was pregnant with her daughter, but even then she went back to 8kgs after a couple of months, but since being diagnosed with endo shes about size 16, which worries her, could that be the drugs?
And is endo heriditary ? or can it be caused by other things?

I think endo is heriditary - my sisters, my mum, my aunties, my female cousins all have it . Do you know what drugs she is on?? If its the pill it is possible that it has caused the weight gain.
Endo is basic terms is growths on the inside bits that shouldn't be there. usually found on the tubes, ovaries and uterus. Servere cases include bladder and bowel (and i'm lucky enough to have those ).

And then sometimes it's also completely random - I'm the first in my family to get it - yay for me! But it apparently can be passed down through family.
I don't know about the weight thing though - I haven't put on any weight except because of the normal things like overeating, if anything I've lost it since I was diagnosed.

thanks becks and mink8e , i think in her case its one of those random ones, noone else in her family (that she knows about ) has endo,but there may be someone she missed .
Does it affect fertility or is that a common misconception? sorry for all the questions! im really ignorant and i want to be able to tell her all i know about it :-) , not sure what drugs shes on, i wonder if that caused the weight gain.
Wow becks.....so pretty much your entire female part of your family has it,does that mean if you were to have a girl she would be very highly likely to get it as well?

Yep if I was to have a girl very highly likely to have it too, hence why I don't actually want a girl.
It can affect fertility, I haven't had that thou.

Oooohhh
Guess what... after 6 months of waiting after my first surgery got declined (a week before) - My date was given to me for this week (May 8th) and guess what.
JUNIOR DOCTORS STRIKE!!!
Got my 'your surgery has been postponed' letter in the mail two days ago.
So close to ripping my hair out.
So anyways, new date... 29th of May (providing it's not postponed because of something else)
Uphill battle....
