Queenstown! Without a doubt, no question. So much to do, and it's just gorgeous. While there go to Arrowtown, it's beautiful.

Would you be driving or flying? Queenstowns a huge drive from Christchurch just for the weekend.
What about Akaroa? That is a beautiful romantic wee place? Or even Hanmer?

Im thinking hanmer or Qtown too. But then Rotorua sounds nice.. I think hanmer would be great because we can relax in the hot pools and its a small place.. Easy to walk places..

Arrowtown is nice, and it's far cheaper than Queenstown and only a small drive away. I went with DH once when he went for work. I amused myself all week long on foot around Arrowtown and didn't get bored! They have the best chocolate/lollies/fudge shop I've ever been into. Spent far too much $$ there lol

you could get a pamper package from the heritage or somewhere. Otherwise there was a website that had holiday homes on it and they seemed REALLY CHEAP!

Oh Stacey that Lolly shop is really dangerous, we spent ALOT of money in there too. Their giant Jaffa fudge is sooo good!
I've never been to Hamner, check wotif.co.nz for accomodation deals.

We usually stay at the Alpine Lodge which is one of the closest to the hot pools and shops. Not too expensive, but I'm sure you could get cheaper. You can also get the honeymoon suite which has a circular bed!

Could you check out grab a seat for the next few days and see if there are any good deals re: flights from your area, in the time you want to go?
