Right Ive settled into life on the homefront.

My question is how do I go about entertaining both myself and Isabelle

Our antenatal group never got as far as becoming a coffee group, so how do I go about finding one to join?

Also what other types of activities can we do?   We started swimming last week (awesome!) and DW said I should look into mainly music, can anyone give me any other suggestions.

(Oh and feel free to invite me to join your coffee group - Im housetrained and everything!)

Mainly musics a good idea, we didn't go but lots of friends did and really enjoyed it.

You could call plunket about joining a PIN group for weekly/fortnightly catchups with other parents in your neighbourhood that have babies of a similar age..

For activities I'd check out your local library to see if they have any story time for littlies and look into gymbaroo.

Mainly Music is great, well at least our one is. The gremlins love it.
Depending on how much time/effort you want to put in you could always try Playcentre. Maya always loved it, and I liked that I could stay and play with her but the catch is there is a committment involved from the parent in terms of training and meetings etc. so it can be quite time consuming.

Our local YMCA has a kids gym each morning, suitable fro 0-2's and another session for 2-4's.
Maily music is great. Held in heaps of churches, usually 1/2 hr followed by morning tea for kids, toys out for kids, then parent mrning tea. Costs $2! There is several dads and nanas and carers at our one too, so u could ring around and find oue with blokes if u want!

LOL. Very true, I was one of the few mums there when we went on Saturdays, it was mostly Dads with their kids.

They have a website www.gymbaroo.com.au (or a variation of that).

Ring up Plunket and see if there are any dads groups in your area.

We often go to our local Plunket Playgroup and it is great, caters for babies through to 5yrs. You could check out the "mums meet up" section for any groups in your area.

Great to see a Dad on here!

Check out your local library as well. Most have a story time type thing. Ours is Rhyme time on a Thursday and it is singing songs & nursery rhymes. Great fun and even better it is 100% free!!
We also did Jumping Beans which is another type of baby gym which was great fun and good from around 3mths.

check with plunket. We have a dads meetup in palmy...not sure how well-attended it is. My husband takes our boys to the pub (family friendly ones). they play, he drinks juice (so he tells me) and everyone feels manly.

Jumping Beans Ella loves hers and there are a couple of fathers that come to ours.  www.jumpingbeans.co.nz

also we go to the local library for rhymetime (you don't have to go every week, so it is nice every now and then). Some community centres also have playgroups (althrough she may be a little bit young for that).
