Topic: Our fun afternoon... Posted: 06 June 2008 at 8:54pm |
We were having such a great day (well as good as it can be) and then Nigel called me as he had a few minutes to spare. It was just as we were heading out to get Daniel's birthday present so I decided I would stop and talk to him. Andrew was running around inside so I couldn't hear him so I went outside only for them to follow me. Andrew was running around outside and then he tripped on the concrete and went face first onto the concrete and knocked himself out. I dropped the phone and ran to him. His eyes were rolling and he was shaking so I was yelling his name and rang 111.
He came to while I was talking on the phone, but still the ambulance came here. He had to go to hospital but refused to go in the ambulance so I ended up having to take him up to the hospital. I rang my MIL to get Josh only to find out that her work was closed as they had a funeral to attend of one of their workers who died on Wednesday.
Got up to the hospital and had to wait to see the dr. Finally saw one and said that he would be fine.
Now his face is covered with grazes and is fairly bruised. He will have a good black eye and both his lips are going to be a bit fat for a while.
It was very scary when I picked him up off the concrete and he wasn't there, I was so thankful when he started crying.

My hand and arm was covered in his blood when we got there as I hadn't cleaned myself up. That photo isn't the best as it it was taken from my phone.
I have had a drink to calm me down but I have to get the mental picture out of head of him laying on the concrete.

He is back to his usual self today (just ask Stacey ).
I had to take him into town today and felt really embarrassed for him with everyone looking at him.
My lovely neighbour just rang to make sure everything was ok as he saw the ambulance pull into the driveway last night.
